Charming site in the cradle of British civilisation with Stonehenge, Woodhenge, Avebury, West Kennet Long Barrow, Silbury Hill and others all around you - plus some of the oldest trackways in the country across the downs - plus the canal (try Honey Street Cafe).
Owners friendly and helpful - interestingly unusual farm growing special straw for thatching and using ancient timber threshing machines to handle it.

A nice site on well mown grass with views. Only the top of the field is mown and used as the CL.
Follow the directions in the CAMC book, then along a track and through the farmyard. It is not as daunting as it appears.
Walks on the map do not lend themselves as very useful in reality, but not the fault of the site.
There is a village shop at Upavon, a co op at Pewsey, also a garage and what must be the smallest Boots chemist in England. Supermarkets at Devizes, which is an interesting town.
A friendly owner who will come and see you the first evening; we were charged a reasonable £16 per night.
We would use the site again if in the area.

Plenty of space on a flat field. A little road noise but nothing objectional. As a working farm there are tractors around, to me this adds to the interest.
In easy reach of many historical places (Woodhenge, Stonehenge, the cursus, ancient trackways) and the Kennet and Avon canal.
The approach through the village is a bit narrow but manageable. Plenty of wildlife (red kite, herons and hares). Friendly owners.
