 Stayed on this site for one night. We were keen to go to The Milestone Museum in Basingstoke. It proved to be perfect in every way.
Highly recommend peaceful site with good views and walks. Will return.

An acceptable site situated on top of a hill. Views could be better if the hedge was cut shorter. A friendly welcome, and the young owner is open to suggestions.
Inadequate recycling; he told us he had already ordered another bin after we mentioned it. There is a dog walk from the site, plus it has a loo and washbasin which were clean.
You will probably be coming from the north, so make sure you take the turn to Overton off the main road from Kingsclere. Then it's left about 200m along the road. The last mile is single track, but quiet.
It's a bit out in the sticks, there are no supermarkets. Fuel and food at the garage which you will see on the outskirts of Kingsclere, Co-op and small Tesco at Whitchurch.
I wanted to see the source of the River Test, but it's not really worth it as you can't get right to it; the walk to near it is quite good.
It's also near Watership Down, but we were disappointed to find that it's all fenced off for horse gallops, you must stay on the path.
We would not use this site again, but it's fine if you need to be in the area. £15 per night.
