Nice site with level hard standing water & elec on pitch.

Only 2 toilets for which you have to get a key from keysafe.

Slightly let down by security arrangements whereby you have to be let in and let out by contacting owners, while this didn't cause us a problem I'm not very happy about being shut in a site I cant drive out of in an emergency without contacting someone.

Owners very helpful

This is a quiet well kept adults only site, with friendly owners and a wonderful huge dog walking area and both water and electric for each pitch.

There's no real view to speak of from the site even though its tucked away in the countryside, however it's well kept site with good sized pitches.

It's a good walk into Malpas (25 mins) where there are a couple of good pubs, cafes and shops.

There are no showers and only two very small but clean toilets, which you access by a opening a keypad at the side and then unlock (not good if you have poor pelvic floor muscles).

The thing we didn't like was the locked barrier to get into the site, while this does make it secure it is equally a bit of a pain to have to phone the owners each time you want to get out.

All that said it's a good little quiet site.

Went to this site on 19th/20th Aug 2023.

It is small clean and well maintained site. There is a meadow to the side for walking you dogs and also a track that walkers use.

On to the best points Anita and Jez are brilliant and so welcoming they had a little get together on the site for the guests and what an ace time was had by all, still recovering 2 days later 🤣 If your looking for a Small,

Quiet friendly site with lots of walking this is the place to go. I will definitely be returning.

Excellent and quiet adults only site ( in fact we had the site to ourselves for the 3 nights that we stayed).

Huge dog walk and numerous bridle ways around the campsite.

2 toilets but no showers at present.

Malpas is a 20 minute walk away down a quiet lane, The village itself has a few shops and a couple of pubs, we tried the dog friendly Lion Hotel which was very pleasant.

Finally Anita and Jeremy are the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome.

If you are looking for tranquillity, country walks, a nearby stunning historic village with local places to eat, handy shopping for essentials and superb owner attendance in your caravan holiday, this is the site for you.

The owners are a fantastic hard working couple. The site does not hold too many vans and is very friendly. The dog walk on site is enormous.

We had a really enjoyable, relaxing time and we will certainly be going back

Very new site but a smashing one. Lovely countryside views and walking paths right from pitches.

Anita was so welcoming and had rung beforehand to advise re route sat navs can take you.

They obviously have bigger plans for the site, as only toilets available at mo but the hard standing serviced pitches are delightfully positioned.

All in all a lovely, peaceful stay. I’d certainly return.

We found this lovely little site in Malpas Cheshire it was just as described, very tranquil. Anita the site owner was very nice, she helped us out when we had now power cable and supplied us maps of the local area.

We stayed at the far end of the site away from the other guests. There was lots of room for the awning as the pitches are very spacious and well-spaced out.

The owner said that The Happy Pheasant is a new site that she had recently purchased and developed. There is no toilets or showers on site but this was not a problem for us as we have not used any on site communal facilities since covid.

We have booked again for June next year. Jill & Steve
