 Have been planning to come here for a while due to its handy location and proximity to the chateau. Sadly you can’t see it from the site, only a factory across the river !
However, it’s just a couple of minutes walk into the town which has aboulangerie, a few shops and bars plus a couple of restaurants as well as the stunning chateau.
The site itself is quite large and has a number of statics and pre-pitched tents; we decided to stay at the last minute and there was plenty of availability in early July.
Pitches are large, flat and divided by hedges - we were able to choose one with lots of shade.
The unisex sanitaires in the centre are fairly new, very clean and I had a great shower. Loo paper, soap and dryers are provided!
There’s some play equipment and free admission to the municipal pool next door which has water slides etc.
There were also posters advertising live music etc in the adjacent park later in the summer, and there’s apparently a snack bar on the edge of the site.
It looks like the mairie is investing in the whole area - plans show a new ‘club room’ proposed for the site.
We were very impressed- we’d certainly use it again and there’s lots to do in the area, so it would be good for a longer stay. We paid €14.50 inc ehu
