Overall, the facilities were great and exactly what we were looking for: somewhere to eat (delicious pizzas!) and have a glass of wine, a play park and a pool without being a huge super busy site. Live music twice a week was a nice extra touch.

In poor weather the pool is covered which was great on a rainy afternoon.

The only real downside for us was that we felt the pitches were not well spaced out. Our tent is 7mx3. 5m and by the time we'd parked the car alongside the tent, the pitch was full and we were almost wall to wall with our neighbours.

We were pretty much the only English there, a few Dutch but mostly French. This was mainly a positive thing for us and we felt we had a really French experience.

This was our first time camping in France. We were surprised that there was no toilet paper or soap in the toilet blocks. Also, toilets and showers all unisex.

Huge SuperU supermarket just a few mins down the road which was very useful.

Cancale is a pretty town with lots of lovely cafe and restaurants and a great market. Beautiful beaches nearby (several good options within 10 mins by car).

We had a great time, but unfortunately we wouldn't go back because we felt the camping pitches were a bit too crowded.

A handy location for Cancale: close to a lovely beach and not far to walk or cycle into Cancale itself.

The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. We had one drink in the bar which was OK but lacking in atmosphere somewhat (although it was early in the season and very quiet).

Our pitch was just ok: very wide but quite shallow and it kind of felt as though we were camping on a grass verge, particularly as we were on the main drag through the site. Also the ground was a bit bumpy and damp, probs because it was a very shady pitch.

The toilet blocks were very clean with great showers and lots of them.

We went into the pool area late one afternoon (covered but I think they might open it up when it gets warmer) and that was lovely and clean and warm.

It was slightly more expensive compared to similar sites we'd stayed at in Brittany on this trip (with an unexpected €15 booking fee?).

Close to Cancale. We were on foot and this was easily within walking distance.

We booked online and had good communication with the site. The site has a shop that takes bookings for baguettes and croissants, a bar and a pizzeria. The pool is good and so are the sanitaires.

It isn't far to walk to a beach and the GR 34. Staff were pleasant and C19 procedures were followed.

Pitches were a decent size and the site was not noisy but this was after the schools went back.
