This place is absolutely lovely. The plot was secluded in woodland, so secluded that I could hardly see the next pitch. It had a levelled area for the campervan and another for a couple of small tents, a covered pub table and benches with solar powered fairy lights, a fire pit and even a griddle to cook over the coals.
The shower was excellent, probably the best and roomiest I've ever found on any campsite. There is an honesty shop for odds and ends, including firewood and even ice creams! There is even a fridge for campers to use for free, and since there's only about six plots it's not likely to get full.
On leaving I stopped at the farmhouse to tell the hosts how wonderful I'd found it, and I've never done that before.

Wow Wow Wow - what a gem of a site.
The site is mostly for tents but can accommodate small campervans on some pitches, plus they have a Bell Tent (we've booked this for later in the year).
There are about 5 pitches spread out across small sloping meadows and surrounded by woodland but the pitches are flat. Each pitch gets its own picnic table under a canopy, compositing toilet and fire pit - perfect setup for camping with an open fire under the stars.
The site was so peaceful although you do hear the goats from time to time. Some pitches are in sight of each other but you still feel like you have your own field for the night.
Showers and toilets were clean and showers were hot and powerful. Pot wash was central to the pitches and included hot water and plenty of space. They have a small shop with honesty box and freezer should you need it, which included spare freezer packs.
The owners are really helpful and friendly, quick to respond to our emails and have accommodated all of our little requests - Thanks Mel/ Rob.
If you want to get as close to wild camping in the great outdoors but don't want to go without some comforts, then you have to stay here. Pack your marshmallows and enjoy a night round your own fire pit under the stars. And the log bags are big for £4, better value than most places.
We'll be regular visitors here I'm sure.
