We came here not knowing what to expect, we only remember a run down place in reculver and as we pulled up, we were a little worried to say the least, a run down looking cafe, and a holiday park that didn't look very inviting, however on checking in it was clear there was some serious refurbishment works going on, we were told we were in the neighbouring park of a different name but essentially the same park, we drove a short distance to the park and was pleasantly surprised, it was clean and inviting.
We found out caravan and it was lovely, the car park opposite had some piles of rubble on it but this did not effect our stay at all.
The caravan was quite new and had everything in it you could want, apart from a washing line or more space to hang your towels, it was clean and spacious for our family of five (apart from only having four dining chairs but enough cutlery for six people, this didn't matter our little man had his own table on the coffee table)
The amenities was being done up when we were there, the pool never opened as something was being done to it, the same as the clubhouse but this did not bother us, if you are going for a full on bingo session, this is NOT the park for you! There is no take away on site or shop but the pub does take away and believe it or not, if this was an all singing all dancing site, you wouldn't even notice the pub wasn't attached to the site. We used the public pool in herne bay and was refunded by the park as their on site pool wasn't open, which they didn't have to do and it went a long way
We had a very pleasant, quite stay and didn't cost the earth will all the 'showy' things that other holiday parks offer.
