We stayed for 11 nights in the lower field with friends in their caravans and the view was amazing. Although just off the road, there isn't too much noise.
Facilities were very well maintained and although the weekend was busy, we never had to wait for showers. There are 3 large showers in both the mens and womens with as much hot water as you want. No pushing of buttons which can really irritating.
Hiring of a fire pit is really lovely and as others have said the small hop sells reasonably priced items as well as wood for the fire. We run out of wood about 9pm and texted to see if we could get some more and Cassie kindly brought it down to us. Definitely over and above what you can expect at a campsite.
Ryan, Chloe and Cassie were all very helpful and made us all feel very welcome.
An amazing site at a reasonable level price, what more can you want?

My wife and I visited this fabulous little site for a 3 night weekend and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the stay.
The site is well maintained with fabulous views across the Wolfcote and Biggin dales. The site is well equipped for Motorhomes, with hard-standings, caravans and tents with lots of grass pitches and room to play (for the little ones).
There is a small, but reasonably priced, well stocked shop in the reception, with Fire pits (plus logs, stick and firelighters) available for those chilly evenings.
The grass was immaculately kept by Derek and the facilities and bins (of which there were several around the site) kept clean, tidy and emptied by Cassie and we were warmly greeted by Chloe, on reception. All 3 were very friendly and chatty, without being intrusive, they clearly enjoy their work.
There are 3 showers (thankfully not push button) and 3 cubicles for both ladies and gents facilities, all well maintained and clean, along with a 2 sink pot-wash area.
There is easy access to the Tissington trail, where you can cycle and walk to your hearts content, with Biggin approximately 40mins walk and Hartington about 90mins walk.
Although the site is just of the A515, the road noise was not noticeable and not did not disturb our weekend.
We loved our stay and will be returning in the future and would highly recommend this beautiful site 🥰

My husband and I have just visited this site for the first time.
Firstly:
The views are amazing and the site is well kept and looked after. We stayed on a large hard standing pitch which had its own bin.
The facilities are fabulous and were always clean. There are 3 toilets and 3 showers per sex. The shower cubicles are very spacious and lovely hot showers (no push buttons !)
A short walk from the site takes you on to the Tissington Trail where you can walk or cycle for miles. We walked into Biggin which takes about 35-40 minutes where there is a pub that serves food. We just had a couple of drinks !😊
Derek, Chloe and Cassie are lovely people and obviously enjoy what they do as nothing was too much trouble.
We really enjoyed our stay
And will definitely return.
Thank you all 🥳
