 An absolute gem of a place! Perfectly located for all sorts of activities, but for us, it is the most idyllic retreat to kick back and enjoy the space, the spectacular scenery, walking, the wildlife, we could go on.
The facilities go above and beyond for the size of the site and her fees at £22. 00 is very reasonable, you have access to a shower, toilet, washing up facility as well as a fire pit! And of course recycling and chemical point.
We are members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club and we haven't found these facilities at a CL site for this money, in fact it has been much more money for less! We also received very warm hospitality from Fliss too.
On this our second occasion visiting Wethercote Campsite, we stayed 3 nights and unfortunately there was a lot of rainfall and our motorhome became bogged down in the field, however within 5 minutes of us making a call to Fliss, her husband towed us off the field and we were very grateful to him. He took it in his stride and was so friendly with us. It was a Sunday morning too, just perfect service, you couldn't ask for more.
A very solid 10/10. We will be returning. Often. Thank you to both wonderful hosts.

Beautiful location and when my navigator (wife) told me to turn right before we should do and got us lost Fliss came and found us and escorted us to the site.
Excellent facility and very clean but not really adequate (toilet, shower and basin all in one) if there are a lot of campers and you become desperate!
Fliss was very helpful and charming and made us most welcome.
We made the journey to the site from Thirsk on the caravan route as we were a bit concerned about making it up Sutton Bank, however it was 27 miles instead of 9 and took three times as long.
Given the amount of other traffic using the A147 I think we were a bit over cautious so do a bit more research or telephone Fliss if you are not sure. T

Lovely little family friendly campsite.
Really peaceful and awesome place to watch the stars.
Lovely people that run it.
Perfect little base to explore the area.
Would use again.

Stayed two nights at Weathecote campsite.
Came off Cleveland Way at Cold Kirby hiking, this meant could have whole day exploring Sutton Bank.
The owner Fliss was very welcoming and cheerful for us walking in not sure if drive in?
The field is excellent with beautiful view.
There is one toilet and shower.
Very clean and tidy So if busy could have been issue but only 1 other sets of campers and van on site so very quite and peaceful.
