A relaxed management of the site. Traditional approach to reception opening. Factor in the French international dialling codeI (0033) if you arrive and need to speak to the owners when they are absent.
There are signs for development.
Toilets and showers are modern and clean. Chemical toilet disposal would benefit from better signage and an upgrade.
Quite decent sized pitches but would be nicer with mowing and gardening.
Cheap enough though.

Not closest to Calais for a channel crossing overnight but beautiful countryside and quiet. English speaking, helpful host.
Pitch was fine for me for overnight but for a family staying longer rather small, check with site if larger pitches are available if par of your holiday is to be based there. WC & Washing facilities were fine and clean.
No cafe but a useful roofed & screened communal cooking/dining room.
I have some issues with gravel pitches because I used to travel with an independent wheelchair user and you cannot wheel yourself on gravel. Compacted & stablised gravel fine but grass, as long as it is not mud in rain is much easier to move on.
Very nice farm shop with fresh local cheese, meat and vegetables.

Booked a couple of nights online whilst in Holland for our return towards the ferry.
Reasonable sized pitch with some shade, which was needed as it was hot whilst we were there. Not all pitches had shade, there were mostly caravans and campervans during our short stay, made up of a mixture of English, French, Belgian and Dutch campers.
Seem to be some seasonal pitches too. 38 euros for two nights including electric so cheaper than the Dutch/Belgian sites we'd used earlier in our holiday.
Toilets and showers were kept clean but you will need your own toilet roll, from my limited experience of France that seems par for the course. There is also a washing machine and drier 6 euros and 4 euros respectively, which came in handy after over a week on tour.
There is a fridge/freezer which came in handy and a kitchen which had a toaster, hob etc. Not sure how many pots, pans etc as we didn't use it.
There are chickens and goats next to the pitches but it is a farm so it was no surprise to hear cockerels in the early hours but that's part of the experience.
The site is just on the French side of the Belgium/France border and there are WW1 and WW2 cemeteries, bunkers etc in walking distance. Bailleul has supermarkets and is only about 2 miles away. The farm has its own shop with local produce.
Nice area worth exploring as a stopover or in its own right

Well, first trip over the water since Covid put paid to travel plans. So I decided on a trip to visit the site of the Battle of Waterloo and some of the many World War One Memorials in France and Belgium.
I was not technically camping, but I did stay on a camping site in one of their Cabane Rando's, which is basically a shed with two comfortable beds, made up with disposable sheets and quilt covers and a flat French pillow, (my advice take your own) and a veranda with a table and bench.
It's got mains electricity, just a light and two French outlet sockets, ideal for the phone charger and a camping kettle if you have one.
There are several of these on site, along with Gites and static caravans. There is also a very large touring caravan/motor home site and a camp site.
Their web site has all the details and prices, I booked and paid my deposit on line and completed my payment on check in.
A very large and very clean unisex amenity block has ample supplies of nice hot water with sinks situated in the middle for dishes and perhaps a little laundry. There is also a disabled toilet/shower which is nice and large. Dispensers on either side of the entrance way provide loo roll, to collect in advance, if you have forgotten to take your own.
There is a shop on site which sells an abundance of items, souvenirs as well as meat, eggs, fruit and vegetables, wine and cider. The majority of the vegetable are grown on the premises as it is a working farm; the eggs come from the chicken coop on the camping field.
The meat is local and the other produce is sourced from local supplies in season. It is not a cheap as the supermarkets, but fresh locally grown/sourced quality produce never is.
Bread, croissants etc can be ordered the previous night for delivery the next morning.
The town of Bailleul has some nice shops and cafes as well as a Centre Commercial where there is a hypermarket and fast food joints.
The Wi-Fi is free and good.
I have two minor complaints; the website says there is a fully equipped kitchen on site. Yes there is but there is a lack of pots and pans and cutlery. It's a big room with monastery tables and benches. There is a four burner gas hob, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, a coffee maker and two fridge freezers for visitors to use.
My other complaint is that during my stay the majority of Caban's were used by workers, Monday to Friday with holiday makers using them during the weekend. Perhaps this changes during the holiday season. You can't blame workers from out of town looking for cheap digs.
Overall- Nine out of 10. Good value for money. I would go back. It's not far from either Calais or Dunkirk, so ideal for a stopover either on your way to or way back to somewhere more Southern. Remember to put the full address in the sat nav or you may be misled.
