Site is well signposted from the A15. The final approach may not seem to be correct as Loswalweg appears to be a cycle lane. It does though lead to the site at the end of it. Just take care.
The site is small but well set out. It really isn't suitable for large TA or extra large Motorhomes. Upon entry you must swing into the car park and stop by reception.
The car park is where all cars are left when on the site. There are 3 main areas where caravans are sited around the edges and camper vans on specified smaller pitches.
Most of the pitches are on grass with a couple of concrete slabs for medium sized M/Hs. There are also some tent spaces available. Electric is 6 ampere and there are various water points.
The Sanitary block has separate showers and toilets for male and female and the C. P. Point is at rear. Dishwashing facility found to the side.
The site is quite compact but having no car on the pitch does allow you to stretch. It is well sheltered by mature trees and bushes and well looked after and maintained. Wifi is freely available next to the reception area.
It is a quiet site despite being in a suburb. There is excellent cycling, walking and canoeing direct from site and buses run from the bottom of Loswalweg.
Cycling routes will take you into the centre of this historic city, or to Kinderdijk Windmills or to the Biesbosch Nature Reserve (all recommended). Gates are locked at night. There is a small shopping centre within walking distance with a good supermarket, AH (Albert Hijnes)
The campsite's own website states that it is more suited to the over 55 year old so that should give you an idea of the clientele you are likely to encounter. The manageress speaks excellent English.
It's just under an hour from Rotterdam ferries.
We would certainly stay again if in the area.
