We've just had a wonderful week on probably the best site that we've ever visited. Linda and David are a lovely couple who are full-time farmers but run a lovely site.
The pitches are very spacious and all face out down towards the Solway Firth and North to the Scottish Border. The site is very well situated for visits to Carlisle, Gretna Green and Dumfries, but, most important (for one of us anyway) Hadrian's Wall.
The pitches all have full service amenities and 16 amp hook up. At the rear of each pitch is a small cabin containing a wash basin and toilet and the opaque roofs mean that they can double as airing cabins for towels, etc. The rear of the cabins have full size sinks and drainers for larger washing up such as barbecues, etc.
Longtown is a 10 minute run and has almost everything one needs to keep supplied without getting too far away from the peace and tranquillity of this great site.
We are planning our stay for next year already.

Lovely, quirky CL with amazing views.
All 5 pitches are hardstanding and all have fabulous views. As per previous reviews each pitch has own toilet and washing up sink plus fresh and waste water.
You will need levellers as pitches have a fair slope forward.
It's so quiet, really peaceful with very little traffic using the lane.
Dog walk down lane then onto a massive fenced field (gate open). We walked a circuit from site of 6 miles on lanes and literally only saw 3 cars.
Owners live on farm so always around and super friendly and helpful.
Loved it and wouldn't hesitate to return.

My favourite place to be. Quiet, peaceful and stunningly beautiful panoramic views. Watch the wildlife while you have your morning toast and coffee. Loads of things to do locally and really good restaurants. Try The Hidden River for excellent food day or evening - it is a special place
Great pitch with your own ensuite flushing loo with sink! Always spotless and fully stocked with loo rolls. Complimentary free range eggs always given as a welcome present on arrival
David and Linda are superb hosts - we consider them as friends and are planning our fourth visit in a couple of months
South Lambhill Farm is a special place too. Can’t wait to go back to my little Cumbrian hideaway

Stayed here for 6 nights and it was beautiful. What a view, absolutely stunning.
Very peaceful and the sunset is gorgeous. Having your own outside toilet for every pitch was great and the toilet was immaculately clean.
Your own washing station for cleaning your barbecue at the back of your toilet was a big bonus.
Linda the owner was so nice and came down to check we were ok. One of the best camp site we have been to.
Definitely be go back.

Get outa hear. Really! What a gem of a site this is.
5 gravel pitches, each pitch has a self contained toilet and washroom cubicle on it, wash basin sink, sun deck, water and waste on pitch as well and spotlessly clean.
Views to die for and the lady owner is a delight as well, nice and pleasant and very helpful.
No more nasty large site toilet smells in the morning on this site, no siree.
Slight slope and I mean a slight slope on the pitch I was on, so ramps would be handy. Mind you I am being picky here.
If I had not been lazy and tried different positions I would not have needed mine. Excellent tv reception.
Owner looking in to wifi. If you want a quiet site this is it. SO GOOD. Ha'way man, a sun deck on your pitch, way out dudes.
