I have a bit of a dilemma giving a review for this campsite because, if I tell you all what a fabulous hidden gem this is,
Only a 15 minute drive to the beautiful historic town of Knutsford, a 15 minute drive to the viewing terrace at Manchester Airport, a 30 minute drive to Jodrell Bank, that the site is within a 10 minute drive to three gorgeous country pubs or a 25 minute walk down to Pickmere Lake and the renowned 'Red Lion' pub, a 2 minute walk to the Alpaca walking park, a 2 minute walk to the all weather dog park,
OR you can just sit next to your pitch and have the tranquillity of just been in the open countryside over looking the woods,
Like I said at the beginning of my review, if I tell you all this then next time I want to book there will be no pitches left so unfortunately I'm going to this one to myself :)

We stayed Gravestones for 3 nights in June 2022.
The main attraction of the site for us was its closeness to the Anderton Boat Lift which is just over 4 miles away. Easily bikeable.
The site is well set up away from the farming operations [although you do pass through the farmyard to gain access] and is shielded by a large hedge. The outlook is over a large field which was ideal for dog walking.
All the site services were within easy reach but you might need an extra length hose to connect to the water point if you are a motorhome & on pitches 1 & 5. The hardstandings are a bit narrow which will mean that any awnings will be on grass but was fine for us in a motorhome.
The signage from the road is a bit confusing as all that is mentioned is the alpaca walks etc. , so I did suggest to Stephen that it would be beneficial that the standard C & MC CL signage be placed in a prominent position.
All in all a nice CL with lots of walking & biking opportunities.
Current pricing of £17 per night was just about right.
