This is the best site on the whole Yorkshire coast for a proper camping car free holiday.
There really is no need to bring a car adding to the gridlock and general mayhem in this area in the summer. Train /Coastliner bus to Scarborough then no 10 EYMS bus to Scalby and a walk of a mile or so to the site.
There are camping and hardware shops in Scarborough where you can get food and stove fuel be it meths or gas cannisters.
Car free days out are a breeze. Here's a couple we did.
128 EYMS bus to Pickering. Steam train to Whitby. X93 bus from Whitby to Scarborough and 10 EYMS bus back to the site.
EYMS buses to both Bridlington and Filey.
X93 bus to Robin Hoods bay. You can even change at Whitby for buses further north that will take you to Runswick Bay and Staithes.
Train from Scarborough to Bempton RSPB reserve to view Gannets and Puffins.
The site owners have really ticked all the boxes. Greener Camping Club site that really lives up to it's ideals. So many of these GCC sites are only accessible by car with totally defeats the object but Prospect House Farm has negated that particular piece of nonsense.
Stunning facility for those of us that have no desire to own a wally trolley.
