 A good enough site, easy to find, just beyond Charney Bassett village, off the A420, although the Club book recommends the A338. Good email communication.
It's a bit out in the sticks, the nearest supermarkets are at Wantage. There is a co op at Stanford in the Vale for essentials. The nearest garage is on the B4507 near West Challow.
By far the best place for walking is the Letcombe Valley, south west of Wantage, so combine your supermarket trip with this.
We would use the site again as a stopover, but £20 per night really is too much for a rather rough field.
