 A perfectly acceptable CL, just a couple of miles from the A1, so a good stopover as well as having local places of interest. It forms part of a farm/estate with holiday cottages about a mile away along the track.
You never see the owner, payment in advance by bank transfer, £15 per night which is fine. The site is sloping but has hardstandings terraced into the hill. Some look a bit rough, but the bottom one, no. 5 is ok.
It's near St Abbs Head and Coldingham Sands which are both lovely with many footpaths. There is a cafe at Coldingham Sands, and a Spar shop in the village.
Eyemouth, about 4 miles away has a fuel station which you will see on the way in, and a Co Op near the harbour. For a small fee you can buy fish and feed the seals.
We would use this site again if in the area. Oh, and it has distant sea views.
