 Very friendly helpful host, nice quiet location and can walk into town.
Nice small site up on hill, good views across fields.
Host showed us lovely walk to go into town off road, worth asking.
Slight slope so need ramps ideally.

Ok as a stopover, about 3 miles from the A1(M). Left in the centre of Conisbrough and about a mile up Clifton Hill. You need to pull off the road by a barn opposite the site, cross the road and open the gate. A bit of a faff, but we knew about it.
It's quite a small site and would feel cramped if it was full. Good recycling at the side near the house. The owner was away, had to put the money (14 per night which is fine) through the letter box.
The area is not very interesting, the Don Gorge seems to be a boring footpath by the river with some hides on the opposite side. Denaby Ings nature reserve is ok.
We would use it again, probably only for 2 nights.
