Access to this area of Croatia is far easier now that the new road bridge has been opened (July 2022) obviating the need to travel through Bosnia or go on the ferry.

Lots of superlatives in respect of this very nice large campsite on the edge of Orebic with all very modern facilities including a free to use Camper Clean automated toilet cassette emptying machine.

Despite the size and it being quite busy when we arrived we never had the impression that it was crowded.

Friendly welcome and we were sent off on foot to choose our pitch & we ended up with a large corner plot close to facilities with a lovely outlook (pitch 39 if you can get it).

Pitches were flat with on pitch electric and water. As mentioned the facilities were modern and kept meticulously clean.

There’s only a camp bakery as with 3 large supermarkets just outside the entrance they wouldn’t be able to compete!

The pool is inviting and in addition to loungers there’s a raised shaded sitting area. The restaurant and bar serve reasonably priced food and drink.

Town is a 2. 5km walk away and there’s a long slight gradient to be attacked on the way back. While there’s no public transport there are taxis. There’s also a gradient to be negotiated up from the shingle beach where there’s a café & bar. Don’t though let them put you off.

Free wifi’s ok except that it’s necessary to log in each time.

One other facility worth mentioning is the water taxi that the campsite arranges to Korcula operating a few days a week. The boat leaves the site’s jetty at 9:30 (get there in plenty of time as some missed the boat!) in the morning for the 15 minute journey returning at 1pm. Can thoroughly recommend using this as Korcula is a beautiful town to spend a few hours in.

There’s also a regular passenger ferry from Orebic.

Really enjoyed this campsite which just seems to have everything spot on and was excellent value with the ACSI discount. Would have stayed longer if there were pitches available.
