 We were only on this site for one night as the site we wanted was full.
It's about 1. 5km inland outside of Binic town. The approach is up a very steep hill with a sharp right hand turn into it. Despite it's name there are no real views anywhere.
Inside the entrance there is Reception, a small shop, a tv room/snack bar/ bar and the facilities block. Behind that there is a large pool complex with an outdoor pool with slides etc plus an indoor pool with sunroof. There is also a play area for children and at the back of the site a crazy golf course.
The site has both touring pitches and mobile homes for rent and the emphasis seems mainly on the latter. The roads through the site are narrow and it felt very crowded in.
The touring pitches are in hedged groups, mainly of 4 in one group. The ground is very sloping and we needed the highest step on our levellers to get anywhere near flattish. The EHU point where our pitch was in the far corner of the block of 4 and required a long EHU lead. Our view was the back of a storage block.
Reception was helpful and friendly but they did not speak English, which was not a problem for us. They accept ASCI Camping Card out of season so the cost was reasonable.
The small shop was well stocked with basics and a selection of holiday items and souvenirs.
The toilet and shower block was clean but very dated and it did not feel like it would have adequate facilities had the site been been full.
We used the cafe/bar which was staffed by very inexperienced youngsters who, although they were enthusiastic, needed far more training. The snack menu was very limited to standard burger & chips type items but as the site had a lot of young families on it this was probably apt. The food itself was fine. We did see evidence of training being given later so maybe things improved.
We really did not enjoy this site at all but that was because it was not what we would normally choose. The walk/ cycle to the town was impossible for us due to the steep road. We felt the layout, the number of chalets and the way they are crowded in etc. Very off putting and the pitch itself very disappointing. We didn't ask to move as we had by then decided to stay for only one night but I think it would have been possible as there were many empty pitches. The facilities were ok but really need updating.
Having said all that there was evidence of many families with children clearly enjoying their stay there so I think this site might be more suited to those.
