Beautiful, quiet site at edge of woodland. Great for Bird watching, with lots of spots during our two night stay.
Owner was very helpful and friendly.
We paid £12 night with Electric extra charged as per meter reading. (Electric won't be available after March 24). There is one toilet which was kept clean and well supplied.
Think nearest pub is around 5 mile from site and Taxis are expensive if you can get one.
Worth going for the surroundings though.
Haven't scored for child friendliness as there's nothing there for them except nature.

We wanted somewhere away from the coast for 1 night to sit out Storm Agnes. This was a great little find just 20 minutes up from Kirkcudbright
Three hardstanding pitches, with well cut grass in between each. Electric on each pitch, fresh water, grey water empty and chemical disposal plus a loo within a few yards.
Turn out the gate and you are in the Galloway Forest Park on an off road footpath.
Ten minute walk back to village and their is a gallery and coffee / cake shop.
It's a birdwatching paradise, feeder tables attract many species and up to 20 red kites were circling above site.
Absolutely brilliant camperstop. We paid £12 per night and 47p per kW for electricity (we ran a fridge, boiled kettle numerous times, used airfryer and had our heating on for 8 hours - electricity came to £3. 38).
Highly recommend this fabulous little Camperstop.
