Excellent minimalistic campsite with reliable, compact facilities,
Decent walking routes nearby and good flat ground.
Very remote and peaceful with friendly and easy-going staff

Had a brilliant weekend at White house Farm.
The views are fantastic and the camping fields are kept clean and tidy with beautiful dry stone walls around the edges of the fields.
The loos are kept clean and well stocked with the necessaries.
The Yondermann cafe is a very short walk or drive down the road for a good breakfast if you don't fancy cooking on camp and Tidwell village is also a short drive away with a fantastic chip shop which we took advantage of for tea.
You can have a small fire if it's off the ground. We purchased a fire pit for £20 which you get to keep. Made up with the quality of the fire pit and know I will get many years out of it on future trips.
Also purchased kindling and firewood which is our only gripe as a little expensive at £8 each per bag.
Our group consists of x serviceman, bush crafters and scout leaders and didn't feel like we were roughing it even with the very windy weather.
We all agreed as a group that we would stay here again. A brilliant find.

Well maintained basic site, convenient for local attractions such as the Monsal Trail, Chatsworth, Bakewell and many great locations for walking. 10 minute walk from Yondermann's Café (slightly pricey and chaotic service but nice food).
Site was clean and quiet. Loos were also clean and smelled lovely! Didn't use the showers so can't comment.
Only negatives are that there's no hot water in the toilets, and although the main road is half a mile away, it's busy all through the night, when you can hear the cars from one end of the valley to the other. I'll have to try earplugs next time!
