We chose this site from the ACSI book as a stopover. Unfortunately there were thunderstorms and heavy rain before and during our stay so it rather spoilt our experience there.

The site is on the side of a lake, and has very much a country park feel. There is a motorhome aire first, plus various watersport buildings. You next come to what looks like an upmarket hotel, but it does have a camping sign. We couldn't decide where to find reception, but it is actually inside the hotel, at the reception there. Beyond the hotel, the entrance to the campsite is uphill away from the lake, and there is a barrier.

The receptionist was very friendly, booked us in quickly, gave us a code for the barrier, and invited us to choose our own pitch.

There are a number of mobile homes higher up the hill with a good view of the lake, the touring area is a bit lower down but a pitch with a lake view can be easily found. Because the site is on a hill, and the pitches are mainly unmarked, it is quite easy to find a level area.

The sanitary block that was open was nearby. It is all under one roof, separate sex facilities plus washing up. A bit old fashioned but clean. It could do with an extractor fan as the steam from the showers lingered.

Because of the bad weather we didn't get to explore by bike, there is a path along the lakeside looks good for cycling. We had a quick walk round, the whole campsite is very spacious but maybe if it were much busier the facilities might be stretched a bit.

Nice site with great views over Lac Naussac, spacious terraced pitches, nice swimming pool, boules etc.

The hotel which runs the site is also cafe, bar and restaurant (food is very good). Also can order baguettes etc for the morning.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Facilities are pretty good and well looked after.

Owners are keen cyclists and there a range of cycle routes in the area
