 A good site, with hardstanding pitches terraced into the hillside of the Esk valley. A basic £15 per night with metered electricity on top. We paid about £19 pn so a good price.
The site is easy to find. From the main road in Sleights (pronounced slights), take the road towards Grosmont on the left. Just past all the houses turn right.
There are 6 pitches on 3 levels. Enough electricity is provided to get you started, the owner, who doesn't live on site, will turn up and add more which you pay for at the end of your stay.
The water and bins are above the entrance, a bit far away from our pitch.
Unfortunately the weather was against us, but we still got out and about. No room in the car park at Robin Hoods Bay! We were hoping to go on the steam train, but they didn't seem to be running, check the dates if you want to do this. Go to Littlebeck and walk to Falling Foss.
There is a Spar shop in Sleights, on the Whitby road, Lidl on the right side of Whitby and Sainsbury's on the other.
We would use the site again if in the area.
