Nice small site, with Caravan and Motorhome Club (CL) at one side with nice views over a pond. The toilet block is two wooden huts each with a shower, sink and toilet.

I stayed on the small site next to it with a similar set up as the CL site but with only one toilet/ shower available (one of the wooden doors was blocked off and couldn’t be opened). The lock on the door was difficult to lock as the wooden door was swollen.

I didn’t see anyone belonging to the site when I was there, I paid £25 for night by link sent to me over the phone. Dogs belonging to farm were also running loose.

I placed an order for fish and chips as advertised on website but it didn’t arrive nor did any phone calls to explain.

Toilet facility was clean with toiletries provided which was a nice touch.

Situated close by main road, good site to use as a base for exploring and for vehicle access to castle Douglas.
