 This is a former municipal site, upgraded and reopened this year as part of the Aquadis Loisirs group.
It is ideally situated 2 minutes walk across the river bridge from the town's main street, with a Proxi supermarket, boulangerie, butcher's etc. The site is bounded by a road (very quiet evening and overnight) and the river, and is opposite the Parc de l'Isle Briand which is home to a horse racing circuit and lots of walking and cycling paths, including through the wooded area. It is great for dog-walking, but dogs MUST be kept on leads or you risk a fine.
Because of the wet weather the site was still a bit of a work in progress, with the grass pitches not yet in use, however we really enjoyed our few nights here.
The one section of the facilities block that was open had 3 spacious cubicles with a shower, toilet and wash basin in each, and there were more toilets in the part that was closed as it was so quiet. There is a room with washing up sinks and another room with a kettle, fridge, seating etc for campers.
There are several chalets for rent in a separate part of the site.
The couple who run the site are friendly and welcoming and cannot do enough to ensure
You are happy with your stay. The price per night, including 10 amp electric, was a very reasonable 20 euros plus 22c per person tourist tax - and a bonus for us was that dogs
Were free!
We highly recommend this site for a stopover or a longer visit and will be visiting again.
