We had a wonderful time on this campsite and would certainly return again.
We were 4 adults and 2 children under 5 and had a great time. Since the older reviews below, the site itself has been re-landscaped in order to create more even pitches and lovely comfy grass re-laid. The refurbishment was only a couple of weeks away from being finished although we already felt well provided for with the well designed toilets and the best view anyone can have washing up!
The kids really enjoyed having the sheep and highland cattle in the next field and the views were amazing. English countryside that tugged at the heartstrings.
The owner was very helpful with great local info. There were lots to do with great walks, pubs and of course Hebden Bridge nearby. Looking forward to going back!

Just returned form a wonderful weekend camping with a group of friends at Pennine Camping. What a beautiful campsite in a very rural setting, but only 10 minutes drive from the lovely town of Hebden Bridge. (worth a visit with lots of wonderful independent shops and restaurants)
The site is very slopped, but there are flat parts at the top and bottom, in many ways this adds to the site as the field is never going to be full, so there was plenty of space for the kids to play and we got to enjoy the fantastic views.
The site also has two beautiful highland cattle and chickens.
The toilets are in the process of being refurbished, but they are already better than many sites, with wonderful vintage mirrors and lights and fun toilet seats. The toilets cubical are fairly large which make going to the loo with a toddler so much easier. I cant wait to see them finished.
The shower room is basic, but shower was clean and very hot.
The site manager was very welcoming and helpful with lots of local knowledge.
We went as a group of 11 adults and 6 children and sat outside every night until at least midnight. It certainly isn't a party site as there are 5 or 6 houses close by, but it doesn't have a fixed curfew of 10:30pm like many sites I have stayed at. It was too relaxed a site for that. There were a couple of other campers staying so we did try and keep the noise down and respect them.
Take insect repellent as there were a lot of midges.
A small but perfectly formed site which I cant wait to return to. Would certainly recommend.

Stayed at this lovely site on the outskirts of Hebden Bridge. Amazing location and spectacular views.
Facilities basic but that's what me and my boyfriend prefer. Has everything you need. Toilet block (5 great mirrors - great for groups of girls) is currently being refurbed and well on it's way to completion.
We were there diamond jubilee weekend and for the Hebden Bridge blues weekend (highly rate and recommend this).
Site manager couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. Gave us some useful mountain bike route advice and said that he may develop this more in the future. As it was we did a great route from the site and there is absolutely plenty to go at.
Loads to do, see and visit.
Site is sloped but we were fine as top and bottom are much more level and there was plenty of room even on this busy bank holiday weekend.
Andy was even running a jubilee cake and tea marquee. All homemade and we purchased a month's supply of goodies which were consumed at home over the following 2 days of our return home. Hence a rapid accumulation in our BMI's resulting in some serious riding to address this in the very near future. Highly recommend this site.

I have just returned from a failed weekend of camping at this campsite. We are a mixed group of 6 friends all in our late twenties. We usually stay in camping barns so that we do not have to worry about other people, however by the time we came to book this weekend we were too late and all the camping barns were booked.
The campsite has a lovely view, the one toilet and shower that was open was nice and had obviously been redone recently, however there was only 1 open, I think there were others, but since we were the only people one was enough. The site is on a big hill, there are only a few pitches which are not on the slope. Fortunately we were the only people there so we were able to pitch our tents at the top of the hill on the flat.
Hebden Bridge is a lovely town with lots of nice shops and nice places to eat.
The weather had been really bad for a while before we stayed so the ground was very wet, this coupled with the steep slope meant that when we arrived one of the cars spun its wheels a little bit and flattened the grass, but did not create a hole or remove the grass. The owner was not happy about this and made us aware of that.
We are a group that like to have a bit of a drink and a chat around a fire, which we did. The fire was raised off the ground, this something under it to stop the ground burning and very controlled as we had been asked to by the owner. Just after midnight the owner came and told us that the noise we were making was horrendous and we were being disrespectful to the local people (there are 2 houses about 100 metres away from where we were in the opposite direction of the wind - which was very strong). We had been chatting and laughing a bit, we did also have the music on as we had lost track of time, but it was on very quietly. Considering we were the only people there we thought we would be ok. Because we are a respectful group of people we had walked all around the campsite to check how far the noise was travelling, just in case and we could not hear anything from the furthest part.
With all this in mind we did not want to be told off again so we left in the morning and went back to one of our houses for the second night instead.
In the morning as we were packing up the owner did come and apologise to us and explained it is a new campsite and he does not want the locals to complain.
If you are wanting to sit out and chat in the evening I recommend you do not go here. If you are a family or a couple you would probably be fine.

Stayed at this site a few times now. Its in a lovely quiet location, and the views are stunning.
Its on the edge of hardcastle craggs, and if you like waking and cycling its a great base.
The facilities are basic but fine, the owners are in the process of providing new ones and they look like they will be lovely when done.
Hebden Bridge which is only a couple of miles away is a great place to visit with plenty to see and do, and lots of places to eat etc.
There is a pub just up the road with open fires and good food(recommended)
The owner was very friendly and helpful with advice and directions, and went out of his way to help us enjoy our stay.
We will definitely be going back to this site(if the summer ever arrives)and we would highly recommend this site.

Basically a field with farm and toilet block (seemed to be old stables). If you're looking for wonderful views and a nice quiet site then this might be just the job.
When we visited (weekend in summer) there was probably one other tent. Site quite sloping which is fine if you're at either the top or the bottom of the slope.
Few miles from village of Heptonstall - good small traditional 'local' pubs. Beautiful cobbled village. Two or three miles the other way is The Pack Horse pub at Widdop - v good pub food.
