 Lovely big open site on a working farm with very generously sized fully serviced pitches (10), with a plan to double in size somtime in the future - even with this expansion the site would not be over-crowded.
As said pitches are fully serviced, however there is a coin meter for electricity (35p/Kwh). Which was fine, in summer we had the fridge on full tilt, some music, TV and cooking items were electric and found about £1. 20 was our average daily spend.
The only slight issue with the (our) pitch was that the grey waste drain was a little higher than the ground around it - took a little bit of minor engineering to ensure everything drained correctly, not a big issue.
The toilet facilities were amazing! Almost brand spanking new. The quality of the fixtures was very high, no little button to press in for hot water! Everyone seemed to appreciate the effort Jimmy, the owner, had gone to and quite respectfully made sure to leave everything in a clean and tidy state. Even the handwash was of an exceptional quality - a nice, long lasting smell - rather than the normal 2p rubbish at most sites!
Ideally placed for visiting York and the surrounding area - we WILL be back!
