 Chose this campsite from the ACSI book for an overnighter on our slow journey back north. It is part of the Huttopia group.
It is situated on the main road between Vedene and Entraigues, and is easy to find. The site rises up from the roadside, where reception is, up to the summit where the pool complex is, with a lovely viewpoint.
There are lots of mobile homes on the site, with various areas of touring pitches, each near to a sanitary block.
The receptionist made us very welcome and allocated us a pitch which was on a slight slope but we found a level patch. Although the pitch was grass, it was quite worn with the dry weather, and when we had some heavy rain later on, the pitch became extremely wet underfoot, and the roadway turned into a torrent. But the worst of the rain did drain away quite quickly.
The sanitary block was quite close, modern unisex facilities, extremely clean, and well appointed, with plenty of hanging hooks, and hairdryers in the basin cubicles, plus 2 accessible cubicles.
We had a walk up to the pool complex, it is quite extensive. The restaurant is here too, and the receptionist told me they take morning bread orders there.
In the morning, I asked if we could vacate the pitch and leave the van in the car park so we could cycle into the village, this was readily agreed.
It's an easy cycle into Vedene with a cycle path most of the way. The village is very pretty, with a minimart and bread shop, as well as other shops. We cycled up to the tower at the top of the village, but didn't have time to linger.
We were pleasantly surprised by the site, we wouldn't normally choose a holiday village for a stay, but it was nice and quiet out of season.
