Very quiet site, open field with sheep. Next to a river, 5 marked pitches. Pegs went in perfectly except for one. Well cropped short grass, and sheep droppings. Views of hills as well as the river and waterfall. Beautiful! One toilet and washing sink (in the same room), 150 metres away. No leave by time. Paid £5 per person at the farmhouse and received a gallon of drinking water. The water from the washroom had not been sterilised. Well recommended. Book early in high season.

The camp site is beautiful but VERY basic. There is a single loo up by the farm with a sink and cold running water. There’s also a single stand-pipe in the field. That’s it. The water warms up nicely in the river if you fancy a dip (and most days you will find my girls in there) – this will be the closest you will get to a shower.
It costs £5 per person per night (2014). There’s no local lights so make sure you pack a torch if you intend to visit the local pub which is just a hop-skip and a jump away, across the field.
Excellent location but very limited facilities (which we love).

Our first visit to this site which we found by pure luck. Approached by a well maintained track which leads to the farmhouse. At the time of our visit was fully booked with 8 tents and a motorhome.
Set among the hills between Sedbergh and Hawes this site is on what we would class as sheltered low level moorland with good long distance views.
The camping pitches were split into three areas straddling a stream featuring several small waterfalls. Basic facilities consisted of an immaculately clean single toilet and washbasin with cold water in a purpose built building providing plenty of room and electric lighting. An outside tap is also provided, being situated along the track between the toilet and campsite. The toilet is a short walk from the campsite over the bridge following the track towards the farm. A torch is a must for night time visits as it gets very dark here with little light pollution.
An excellent pub serving good food is a short walk away down the country lane, we sampled its ales during the afternoon and were advised to book a table for the evening meal which we wanted as early as possible due to having young children.
A great secluded small site which we will be visiting again but only for one or two nights at a time due to the absence of shower facilities.

Beautifully located 4/5 pitch site slap bang in the middle of the awe inspiring Yorkshire Dales scenery. Next to a stream, in a valley, you cannot find this kind of site for love nor money normally. A real hidden gem! Facilities include a basic but clean toilet/basin, water tap (garden tap) and manhole cover. These are up near the farm house, access to it is via a narrow bridge over the stream. The ground on the pitches was slightly soft in places, but we had a lot of rain at the time of our visit. We have a very heavy and very long american motor home (35ft) and although access is tight, it is do-able. Main problem is if you take your large vehicle across the bridge and up to the farm house where the tap etc is. As the space to turn round in at the end is very very tight for larger vehicles. There is a restaurant about half a miles walk away and a pub. Don't expect much in the way of tv or mobile phones, the signals are weak or non existant. This site is ideal for quality time with the family, space alone, walking, reading or chilling out. Rv'ers will need a long waste hose, as the manhole cover is a good 20ft from the access road.

Lovely quiet picturesque site. Very friendly and helpful owners on a working farm. Free range eggs sometimes available. Toilet, water, and disposal point easily accessed. Pub 5 minutes walk with a welcoming atmosphere and outstanding food.
