Arrived here on Sat, afternoon intending to stay a couple of nights but as others have mentioned the owner only has a 28 day license so had to leave Sunday afternoon. For the £5/adult £2/child and £1 for the dog, I thought the one portaloo and very basic facilities very expensive. The ground slightly slopes in all directions so finding a flat spot can be difficult, also as we arrived another heavy shower of rain fell making access in and out slippery, plus the site nearest the road is strictly camping and caravan club only and we had to move to the upper section and park where the van slid to a stop. Must say it dried out over night and not a problem getting out. Still maintain £5/unit is what it's worth.

We stayed at mill beck farm for the august bank holiday.
The place itself is the most beautiful site set across from the river truly stunning.
The site is only open 28 days a year.
Mill beck its a lovely site it has one toilet on the field then a walk upto the farm theres a flushing toilet and great power shower ands its all free you only have to pay £4 per person per night for all that. Christine the lady who owns the site is constantly up and down cleaning the toilets and emptying bins shes very proud and does a fantastic job of keeping it well maintained.
I can say its the most peaceful site we have ever stayed on and just wish it was open all year round. You wont be disappointed at all with this beautiful site and its surroundings. I am more than sure once you have stayed here you will want to keep going back.

Have just returned from a 2 day break at this campsite. Facilities extremely basic, 1 portaloo in the field with another toilet and shower block (free) at farmhouse which is quite a distance to walk (25mins) especially with young children. Only recommended for the hardcore campers. We went as a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 11 and 3, no electric hookup, luckily we had a portaloo which helped greatly and loads of baby-wipes. Loads of space for the kids to run around and gorgeous views all around. For the price (£10 p/n) it was well worth the stay.
Dent village is a 15 min walk away, has a local shop for essentials and 2 pubs which were recommended by others on the camp too. Not much in the way of kids entertainment on this site but on the whole we will definitely visit again
