 An acceptable site, only about a mile from Heathfield so handy for the shops. Easy to find, satnav takes you straight there. Once outside the site, you have to unlock/lock a wooden gate which should have been made wider for easier access.
It's a steep hill, with terraced pitches. The top right is meant to take 2 caravans, and you are supposed to leave your car at the top of the hill near the owner's house. It would be a bit cosy with 2 caravans, luckily we had it to ourselves.
There is a nice view across the valley, ponds and a river at the bottom. 2 horses in the field, it is a lovely situation.
Heathfield Park is nearby, but there seems to be no way into it, if you can find a way, it looks interesting. Chichester caravans near Uckfield is worth a look.
You pay one night 's (£20, which is fine) by by bank transfer and the remainder by cash or transfer when on site.
The best/most annoying thing, depending on your attitude, is the 2 geese who live there. They decided that OH was their long lost mother, followed him around, flew onto the caravan roof. They kept us entertained, but otherwise we were less than impressed with the local area.
