Having had a static caravan on this site for around 4 years we revisited in the tourer for a night. Much improved site since the ownership has changed. Previous owners had no idea how to run this place, so much better now and will visit again. A Huge improvement thankfully!

Just stayed on this site for one night. We stayed on a touring pitch in front of the playground as we thought it would be handy for our 3 year old son.
Upon arrival we were asked to choose our pitch ourselves ( choice of about 3 at a cost of £24. 00 ). The site has a beautiful clubhouse & a little games room for the children, the play park was more than adequate, lots of children making use of it.
The toilet & shower block was dated & not very inviting at all, the worst I have seen in my short experience with touring ( its the first time I have had a shower in my caravan ). After an hour or so the 240 volt supply went off without any notice ( electricians carrying out planned work ) found this annoying as I checked my van out for 30 mins looking for a fault, then spent another 30 mins trying to find a member of staff to tell me what was the problem ! Paid £5 for WIFI which was poor but was given my money back. Children played on the park until midnight & made a lot of noise, no one on call to help with this.
Overall site ok but geared more towards statics hence the poor shower facilities. Location wise quite remote 10 miles to Silloth & 5 miles to Maryport, but nice views of the fells.

Nice tidy site.
Plenty to do for the children with outdoor Playparks and a small games room (pool table and arcade games).
Toilets were clean but there is only one shower in each and it cost 20p a time. This did cause a few hold ups in the mornings when people were having to queue to have a shower.
Reasonable prices (£18.00 per night including hook up) and staff were very friendly. There are not many hard standing pitches available to hire as most of the site is made up with Seasonal pitches.
Near by Allonby has some lovely beaches and a shop for all your needs.

We last stayed on this site a few months ago. Its a lovely site near Allonby. The staff are friendly. The children's play area is great, and the tourer and tents are right next to it. The toilet and shower blocks are nice and clean. Its 20p for a shower.
Unfortunately, we rang to book a couple of pitches for the weekend (for us, and my parents) and they now only have 1 pitch available because they've filled all the pitches with seasonal tourers.
They still take tents. Hopefully they'll make some more tourer pitches as this site was one of our favourites!

Nice campsite. The staff were very friendly. When we were there it was incredibly windy and if the tent hadn't been pegged in then we would've been in southern europe without a doubt! The campsite is very exposed to the elements - its just beautiful open fields as far as the eye can see - so dont forget your windbreaks! The toilets were basic but very clean. At one point the ladies ran out of loo roll but the staff were quickly on the scene. The 20p showers were hot and clean. Other than the beach, I didn't think there was much to do locally for very young children. The campsite had a fantastic childrens play area. I liked being able to see them from where our tent was pitched. Generally, an all round good campsite that I would recommend for family campers.
