The location was fantastic with free access to the Newby Hall gardens and activities which were lovely.
The grounds to camp in were spacious.
The event was small but was good, I would like to see a few more street food stalls for next time.
The shower & toilet facilities were great and always clean.
The kids activities were ok - when we visited it was empty, the kids had their goes on the 4 chosen events but just as they were getting the hang of the activity it was ‘right that’s it’ - I understand it’s so many throws of tomahawk / arrows (think it was 5) but when there is no one else on them I felt it was a bit mean - in my experience it’s easier to attract people to the event when other people are using it.
The nearest town is Ripon & what a lovely place that its.
On the whole thought it was a really good visit and we will defo return!

This site is so perfect for us we bought one of the statics. It is small and friendly. There are self catering statics available to rent. All have gardens and mist have decking.
Very private actually set in a wood with many trees.
Reception/ laundry room/ garage shop within 4/5 mins walk which is really well stocked.
Lovely lovely site.
In laundry room are books and dvd to borrow.
This site is very dog friendly and surrounded by walks. I would however say it is more for older people not children unless you are prepared to jump in car and travel to entertain the kids. This is purely my personal view.
Can’t wait to go and make the most of it 2020. It closes 6th jan and opens again 1st March and has to be drained.

Fantastic 7 day holiday with 1 adult and 2 children 10, 11 and dog at newby bridge country caravan park.
We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived. Which was very early as didn't expect to be allowed access to our caravan, We just popped into the reception to let them know that we were here.
We were delighted to be offered to go into the caravan as it was ready and even more delighted to be told we had been upgraded to a larger van with a fenced off deck to allow our dog to access the outdoor area.
The caravan park is by far the prettiest I have stayed at and is very well kept at a very convenient location. The caravan itself was immaculate and very well stocked with extra blankets and kitchen items.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Children have already asked when can we go back ! We will definitely be back - thank you for a wonderful stay.

Just spent Easter at Newby Bridge Caravan Park with the family, two adults and two kids and what can I say?
The site is a lovely little site with loads to do nearby. We spent the day on the Ravenglass Railway and on the steamer. Great day had by all.
The staff on site were friendly and can’t do enough to help you. ….
Will certainly be going back.

Stayed at this site earlier this year in a 28ft hire van.
The setting of this site is superb along with the road layout and very well equipped clean facilites. There are two hotels within walking distance set on the outlet of Lake Windermere along with a local shop and filling station.
To me the selling point of this site is the location, Windermere is only 8 miles away making it an easy destination but leaving the crowds behind. It also made a great base for my walking hobby as most of the major mountains and attractions are also in easy reach.
I would say this site is best suited for couples and small familes in need of a quiet break in a less populated part of the Lake District and would return.

This is primarily a static caravan park, when we stayed there a few years ago thre were only about 10 touring pitches
