This is a very quiet little site. The toilet block is nothing to write home about but serves its purpose. The owners are thinking of giving up next year so get in quick before it closes. Its far enough out of town to be quiet but close enough (if you have transport) to be assessable. There is a pub / restaurant within a 10 minute walk but that is about all. Pitches are close together and would be of no use if you needed to up an awning. Score out of 10 - For weekend 5 for a longer break only 3.

Pleasant little campsite that benefits from being adults only. I went with my girlfriend for two nights and appreciated not having kids running around the site tearing up the guide ropes. The facilities are basic but clean enough. The toilet and shower blocks were fine if a little smelly, but that was probably down to the hot weather. The showers use tokens costing 35p for approximately 5 minutes which you need to purchase from the site office. The owners are very pleasant and helpful, they own the garden center next to the site which is worth a visit. The shop also stocks a range of camping necessities.
The pitch was acceptable but definitely not "flat" as described on the site, it was very bumpy and we had a fairly large hump in the middle of our sleeping area. We got round the problems using a couple of airbeds (spot the virgin campers!).
Overall, for our first camping trip we were very pleased, and glad to be able to get some camping experience before our big trip to the Leeds festival in August.
We would recommend this site to adults/couples wanting a cheap, clean and quiet place to pitch their tents, but do book in advance as the site get's very busy, especially when the weather is nice as it was this weekend.
