We arrived on a busy bank hol fri. The site was fully booked and we where the last in. We had a hardstanding pitch. We struggled reversing in due to children playing round from the pitch next door.
Finally got in and setup but the family had taken up the entire grass next to our hardstanding making it hard to get level and waste and water in.
Finally sorted and the noise sitting under our window was too much. Staff member stated this was normal practice to take up the grass ! There was a lot of noise up to 11:30pm all around us. Taken over by pitch of 9 next door snoring all night. We had no sleep and decided to return home as an alternative pitch couldn’t be offered away from the noise.
What should have been 3 night peaceful break was 1 £84 noisy night. Snoring cannot be helped by the site you get that anywhere But pitch privacy can and because of this we will not return.
Toilets and showers where clean water not hot enough in ladies shower.
Pitch had own water and EHU which was good.
There is no WiFi as soon as you connect to up to 7 networks you get booted off.
The site is very clean and staff nice.
The dog field was the best we have been on.
If going ask for an end pitch or on the lower field as these seem flatter and better spaced. Near the bar these have a slight slope and closer together.

Just had a wonderful weekend at this site our first time here. Lovely clean site, wonderful friendly people. Rachel the Warden was really friendly and informative. Lovely walks and there is a great area for the dogs to run without any worry they would run off as it was fenced in. The Club is not massive but the atmosphere is good and there are pool and darts and domino. Free wfi which is a bonus. Also bingo and play your cards right which was good fun all in all a great weekend cannot wait to go back to this lovely site.

Great caravan park. Owners can't do enough for you. Great little shop that stocks all essentials including pies and cakes at the weekend. Bacon, eggs, sausages to name a few. Great friendly clubhouse open at weekends that includes artists on bank holidays.

Nice site well kept grounds with a view of Pendel hill. Friendly residents in the club on Friday and Saturday nights. The toilets are letting the site down as they are very dated and in need of a good deep clean.

Lovely little peaceful site. Mainly residential units but a small hard standing area for tourists with electric. The guy who runs the site was very helpful. The facilities were clean. Good area for walking or cycling. Small clubhouse on site but this only opens at weekend and we were there mid week. Small shop. The location is a few miles from Gisburn. Booking would be recommended at weekends but we were the only tourer during the week. Overall a lovely well kept site.

We booked in advance, for a touring pitch with 2 adults and 2 dogs (£20 inclusive)
COMMUNICATION
Excellent communication with the Park Warden who goes beyond the expected customer services standard. Offered more information than was expected and always with a smile.
FACILITIES
Stayed on a touring pitch, I believe there are only 4 on the site, the rest taken by statics and seasonal pitches.
Exceptional clean and well serviced, with Electric Hookup and provision to plug your Sky box into their satellite dish on arival.
Plenty of hot water in the showers (free) and clean loos (pass code for entry which means they were always quiet).
Separate room indoors for pot washing, with launderette and lending library.
Wireless internet available at a very good cost.
Club house with reasonable priced drinks and a pool table open Friday and Saturday evenings.
Small shop available in reception.
Plenty of good walks around.
PEOPLE
When we walked into the club house on the Friday evening, we felt a little daunted as everybody knew everybody. We were immediately asked if we would like to join in with the activities that night. Dominos, Darts, Skittles and Pool. Great integration, great way of getting to know each other. We were not once treated like outsiders. And had a really good time.
Everybody we met on the site was friendly and happy to chat. Brilliant!
GENERAL
We have booked to go for another two weekends. Think that says it all. 10 out of 10 - keep up the good work :-)

This was my second visit to this site. It is mainly a holiday home site, extremely attractive and well maintained, but has a separate 15 pitch touring site, with its own WC/facilities block of an excellent standard. Only about 6 pitches are advertised for tourers as the rest seem to be let on a seasonal basis. As before we were made most welcome by the site warden, Paul. Pitches are hard standing paving slabs, the width accommodating the largest caravans, and awnings are pitched on the adjacent grass (which is my preference). The site is immaculately maintained. There is a small shop at reception and a club, open Fridays and Saturday nights only, which also accommodates children in early evening. We were made most welcome by the regulars and invited to join in their games/activities, and of course the bingo.

July 2005 I stayed here for a weekend. I was a bit worried as it stated there are only 4 touring sites, so was expecting to be a poor relation on a static site. In fact there is a beautiful touring site, apart from the statics area, with its own wc / shower block. There are about 15 pitches but all but 4 are let out on a seasonal basis. The site itself is immaculately kept with excellent facilities.I can only agree with the comments made by an earlier contributor in July 2003, they are still valid today

July 2003 Lovely site this, tents and tourers are put into the paddock which is near to the site clubhouse (open at weekends and bank holidays) and the toilet, shower block which is very modern and spotlessley clean. Showers are hot and free and there is a hairdryer (20p) there are also washing up facilities and laundrette (£1 per wash & 50p for dryer and spinner), there is also an iron. The site offers hook-ups for tents and tourers and the people are extremely welcoming with organised fun days, weather permitting. The site club is quite small so you need to be in there early to get a seat. You will be expected to join in the games such as sticky darts, dominoes, pool etc in relay and against other teams - great fun! There's also a site shop which sells your basics open every morning for 1 hour at £11 per night it seems steep but worth every penny, have been time and time again, almost feel like one of the residents! Plenty of good walks and nearby pubs but you need a car to really explore.
