Well the site have managed to beat our expectations again.
We knew about the cleanliness, the location, the willingness to go that little bit further to make your stay a positive one.
Last time we were here (in June) I commented, that the only downside to staying here, was that it wasn't very dog friendly due to the styles being high, and if you have large dogs, you are stuck.
So they have taken this on board and have now put in a gate. Absolutely brilliant.
No more struggling to walk the dogs.
The other slightly annoying thing is the noisy weekend lot that want to come and play loud music and let their ferell kids cause havoc.
But if you actually contact Maureen, she sorts that out as well!
This is our favourite site and looks like it will be for a while.

We wanted somewhere local (to my partner) for a long weekend and managed to get three nights here over the Bank holiday weekend.
It's a well kept site on a main road with friendly staff.
Clean shower block, grass or hard standing pitches.
We used the Pub (The Fountain) which is 4/5 mins walk over the railway bridge and ate there every day. Handy for Church Laneham by The Trent with 2 good pubs.
There is a Costcutter a few min's past the Pub for supplies or of course Tuxford itself. Will use this place again for a nice weekend.
We paid £25 per night which we were happy with.

We stayed here for 2 nights on the first weekend when the Covid 19 restrictions were relaxed to allow caravan sites to reopen as it was a birthday treat and were very pleased with the welcome from the owners when we arrived.
The shower and toilet block which were open were extremely clean and although there was only one shower in ladies and one in the men’s it was adequate for the amount of pitches.
We were very impressed with the free bottles of hand sanitizer in the toilets for people to take with them. Pitches were adequate and we stayed on one of the excellent hard standings which we could pick out for ourselves.
There were plenty of books to read in the old fashioned phone box on the site. Very nice location with static vans on site and some for sale!
Good road access into site and a small town in walking distance with the fountain pub just up the road which did meals although we didn’t have time to sample this.
There were also dog walks nearby.

Had a lovely relaxing weekend with friends, the facilities are kept spotless and a free bottle of sanitizer gel was available in the entrance to the facilities for every camper foc, great idea.
It has a pub within walking distance (The fountain) and they also gave us some vouchers for you to spend in the White Swan they have recently taken ownership of in the next village. We went for a meal on the Saturday evening and can highly recommend the home made Pizza.
It is very close the the main road and you can hear the traffic, this is the only downside as we did notice lots of speeding motorbikes but tbh it wasn't bad at nighttime and didn't keep us awake. Wouldn't put me off going back.
Bill & Sarah are very welcoming and we will be back soon
