Relatively flat site situated next to railway line with high speed and freight trains. Electric hookup, along perimeter with drinking water in middle of field. Basic toilets and shower cubicle. (as previously stated no space to hang clothes dry) Elsan point very basic, lift inspection cover, no tap to rinse your tank.
Bearing all this, the site is situated across the street from the great northern pub, a gem of a place with real ales, good food and friendly staff and clients, we were made welcome. Some lovely walks into Sutton on Trent along the Trent river, very nice pub in Sutton on Trent as well.
For £12. 50 per night incl. Hookup, no charge for an awning it's good value for money. (have to like trains!)

On cycle camping trip and reasonably easy to find.
Very basic site with friendly helpful warden who lives in a park home along with others
The toilet block is basic and showers not very practical like others say having no undress or dressing place and clothes hanging hooks.
Nice and flat and a bit noisy with the trains.
Had a drink in the pub with friendly locals.
Would be ok for a short stay but not much for children for longer periods

We went to this site at easter of 2012, having been before and loved it,
The toilets were a lot cleaner than last time and the showers and hot water are now free,
The pub across road is still open and doing good food,
The site was still well maintained and the warden is still the same, hook ups are around the edge of the field,
Great little site, hopefully going back in early august for the weekend.
Easy to find just of the A1, follow the brown signs,
For £12 a night well worth the money

We visited friends here while they were camping to see if we would like to come too. It is basic and the toilet/shower block needs upgrading, and its not easy to find when we put the post code in our sat nav.
Having said that it is a very nice peaceful place, it does have a freight train line next to it which my son loved and didn't disturb us too much,
The pub is a few steps across the road and does delicious food.
If your looking for a peaceful few days to unwind this is a great place. Although the pub does have a little outdoor park you do have to cross the road to get to it there is nothing else for kids;
Your are are close to Newark so you can use it as a base and visit Newark castle and other places if you wish.
The rates are good too as they are the same throughout the year so no huge price hike as its summer or the kids school holidays.
We will be trying this out later this year for some peace and quiet!

The campsite was simply laid out, with electric points situated at the edges of the field. There was a drinking water point in the middle of the field.
The facilities were basic, with just one shower and three toilets. Unfortunately we couldn't use these, as they were not clean, resorting to the use of our own facilities within the caravan. The showers were unsuitable as they consisted only of a shower tray, so there was no area to undress or dry after showering. Hot water was charged on 10p meters, I felt this was unreasonable, as we expected, and were not warned that hot water was not included in the £12 per night we had paid.
The A1 was easily accessible within 5 minutes drive, which was ideal for us, exploring the surrounding area.
The warden and other campers were all very friendly, and despite the facilities and the railway nearby, we did have a good weekend

A very nice setting. Very well laid out.
The mainline runs along the bottom end of the field and can be rather noisy. Also freight trains run frequently through the night, although absolutely perfect for the railway enthusiast!

The field itself is nicely laid out, and well kept. Facilities are very basic, but clean, showers and even hot water in the toilet block are on 10p meters. Warden there very friendly and helpful, the only downside to this site is the train-line at the end of the field, the GNER Leeds to London thunders past every 15mins or so.
