Facilities on site included a single toilet attached to farm house, a water tap on wall of farm building. Site was level and well sheltered, and almost empty (2 other units when we arrived). It was a quiet site with no sounds from the farm being audible at all. It was a good base to tour from, if maybe not ideal for walking out from. We liked it.
The weather remained very hot while we were staying here. We visited Cheddar Gorge and caves; great for a cool down(especially appreciated by Jet). Bought some local scrumpy and got good and sozzled back at camp(hic!).
One day, we went for a barefoot walk on the beach at Burnham: BIG mistake; no sand just mud. Must have been of great amusement to others to see 2 people and a dog walking along promenade, ALL sporting extremely large and heavy, grey clay boots!
