Good site, Clean and tidy, fabulous views of the Firth of Clyde, lovely owners,
Toilets are clean but need updating and adding a wash up area.
Access is best from the sharp turn which you need to go past and turn back at the turning point.
Our satnav took us up a very narrow road.

It’s difficult to review this site without seeming too harsh ….
On the ‘Pro’ side - the proprietors are very friendly and easy going, and the price of £18 per night for tourers with two adults, is very reasonable, and goes some way to making up for the shortfalls ….
On the ‘Cons’ side :-
The site is situated high up on the far side of Skelmorlie Village, and is difficult to access via the narrow twisty roads for any reasonably large caravan or motorhome.
The facilities block is positively Dickensian - enter at your own peril …. Due to the decrepit state & low lighting levels, my Wife referred to it as “The Dungeon. ”
The hard standing touring pitches, consist of one long, unmarked area, which slope sideways as well as forwards - so much levelling up is required, & some caravans even needed blocks under the wheels.
The touring pitch area does not have any views whatsoever, due to a high tree / hedge along the seaward side.
In summary - if you have your own facilities, then fine. - but if not, be prepared to rough it in return for a cheap deal ….

The cheap price £18 a night for touring caravans and motor homes. And.
The stunning views over the firth of Clyde to The Holy Loch, The Dumbarton rock and castle, The isles of greater and little Cumbry.
And the friendliness of the static van residents.

Lovely wee site. Ideal if your looking for something quiet. Lovely views. Not far from largs.
Road up to it not the best for a tourer. Clearly sign posted

We have stayed here several times when sailing at Largs. Good hard standings and electric. Toilets and showers have been uprated and are clean and tidy. Fabulous views from the site over the Clyde to The Isle of Bute. The area has few sites and if visiting the area this site is worth a try.

Good campsite. Lots of statics (which seemed largely empty during our visit) and a small area for tourers (campervans/caravans on a level hard cored area with hook ups and a small grassed area for tents) in a sheltered spot despite the elevated position overlooking the sea. The campsite is relaxed and friendly - you book in up the road at the farm. The down side is the toilet block - it's very old and shabby, and didn't seem to be lit at night. This is reflected in the cheap nightly tariff. However, this would not put me off from returning. This campsite is on a country lane around 2.5 miles from Wemyss Bay but is serviced by taxis.

Cheep and cheerful site overlooking the sea at Skelmorlie, 4 miles north of Largs. Mostly grass pitches for tourers with electric hookup. The toilet facilities are in need of a facelift, but the showers are free. The only downside was the 30 or so steps we had to encounter in order to empty the cassette toilet. Otherwise a good site with great views.
