This site has temporarily suspended touring caravan operations during July 2009 due to family illness. They hope to be open again for business soon, but call first to check.
Hopefully this information might prove useful for one or two considering this site in the near future.
They recommend alternatives using nearby Miltonhaven 01674 850413 or Wairds Park at Johnshaven on 01561 362395.

We think this is the best camp site we have been to.
A very friendly welcome greeted us, the tents have there own section in the corner. A very well laid out park with lots of nice planting between pitches and a small play area in the middle for children. Behind the shower block is a small garden and boule court which was nice to sit in.
The toilets and showers were immaculate, warm and had music playing in the background. 20p for a shower but this was plenty of time and the water was hot!
There was a small shop on site but it didn't have fresh produce, mainly sweets. There us a small Spar in the village which stocked everything you'd need. There is also a small tea shop at the bottom of the hill, popular for it's cakes but also selling lunches.
The main reason for visiting the site would be to visit the beach. It is the most amazing beach you will visit, a huge expanse of sand and no one there. The cliffs are 200 feet high, the traditional salmon fishermen, rock pools to explore - there's a waterfall at the far North end, castle ruins in the rocks, visitor's centre at the far South end. It was a great day out!
We would definitely go back to this camp site.

What a great site! The tent area is in a quiet corner with the individual pitch boundaries marked off. Each pitch is a generous size. The facilities are fantastic. The toilet / shower block is kept absolutely immaculate by the owners. I did not see it dirty at any time. There is even background music! There is a well equipped laundry and dish washing area and also whirly gigs to dry your washing. The park is very well kept throughout and very peaceful. The owners have created a small garden called Lee's Walk and is a beautiful oasis. The owners couldn't be friendlier even thoughtfully handing over some 10p's with our change for the showers (cost is 20p - 2 x 10p). As for the area I thought it wonderful - the St Cyrus beach is glorious and we spent a long time sitting in the dunes watching the vast numbers of different birds just off the coast. Montrose nearby also has a bird watching paradise with the Montrose Basin and I thoroughly recommend a visit there. The camp site is by far the best I have ever been to and would not hesitate to recommend it.

This was our first caravanning trip and we couldn't have picked a better site. I had mentioned in my email that we were travelling with two children so we were put close enough to the toilet block without being to close. There was even a stable anchor point for our dog. Paddy even came and helped us to level the van.
The site and facilities were excellent and we would certainly return and recommend this site to anyone. Although due to the inclement weather we didn't manage to use the play park! The added bonus for us was that the rear dinette had the view out over the sea.
All in all a great first experience of caravanning, even with the snow and gales!

Very clean site. Our hosts were always there to help - this helped us feel safe and secure as well as making it a nice place to stay. Don't know how they manage to keep the facilities so very clean.
A lot of trouble has been taken over make the gardens and shrubbery, enauring the pitches are nicely presented. Kids made welcome - but no flat area for ball games.
Really nice part of the world - St Cyrus nature reserve a must for bird watchers. Montrose's historic golf links and great beach play area deserve a visit in any season.
Only gripe is this peculiarly British need to charge for showers..... I only had one 10p and it was too early to get any change, so ended up showering in freezing water.

As per the review of 02 above I can only restate that this site is absolutely immaculate and that Paddy and Jill are among the friendliest and most helpful site owners I have ever met. They must also be among the hardest working to keep the facilities in the scrupulously clean state we found them in. The pitches are well spaced and surrounded by shrubs and flowerbeds.
It is a short walk to what must be one of the quietest and most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. There is also a free car park near the beach and wheelchair passable paths to the beach for those who need them. The whole 6 1/2 miles of beach and cliff are a national nature reserve and were ablaze with wild flowers on our visit. It was also interesting to see the salmon nets set just off the beach being emptied.
I will hopefully visit again for a longer stay.

Paddy and Jill are very helpful and friendly. The site is immaculately clean. The toilet block is checke many times a day by Jill and cleaned if necessary. It is an ideal site for the disabled. Paddy is an ex paramedic and well tuned into the neeeds of the disabled and elderly. We will certainly return there
