A wonderful lovely quiet site, a brilliant place to go on a family holiday to escape everyday life. All staff are friendly shop is well equipped.
Views are breathtaking and the play park and playing field is great for kids we even took a picnic and made an afternoon of it. Will return again and again it a really relaxing quiet place to go to.

We stayed in a luxury caravan with our two dogs.
Firstly let me say just how clean this caravan was we could not find a speck of dust.
The site was clean very quiet and well laid out staff kept a low profile but where very pleasant. We found the location ideal central to the whole of the lakes.
Not having kids can't comment on suitability they have a playground but site probably best suited to folk who enjoy peace and quiet rather than pub, entertainment, pool etc.
Having two dogs found the site ideal plenty of doggy bins and a walking area we kept our dogs on lead as there are sheep, goats and alpacas on site.
All in all a fantastic site and can I say to the caravan cleaners 10 out of 10 for you.

We stayed in the Dobbie caravan after it got such a nice review and weren't disappointed. It was really well kitted out (sheets / towels / tea-towels / washing up liquid / kitchen roll) and everything you could need in the kitchen.
The views were great and the outside picnic bench came in very handy as we had lovely weather. The double bedroom had an ensuite loo. The bathroom had a tiny bath and mixer taps shower.
There is a nice playpark right at the top of the site if you are prepared to drive your kids up there! There are 3 lovely alpacas in the field next to it.
There are re-cycling facilities available at reception, a launderette and information room next to Milly the goats pen. You can also buy free range eggs.
Its 7 miles from Cockermouth which has a nice Sainsburys and a garage. William Wordsworth's house is well worth a look too. About 20 minutes down the Keswick road and a lovely small zoo called Trotters world of Animals. And it was only 50 minutes down to Windemere so very handy for everything (and a lot cheaper than anything further down)

An excellent little site that's a mix of static caravans and cabins, both types are for hire and sale. We stayed in a 'Dobbie' cabin and it was very good. They provide everything from towels to tin opener. It was fitted out to a reasonable standard though sound proofing was a little lacking but that's to be expected in this type of accommodation. There is a small kids play area and a separate dog area at the top of the site.
There is a fantastic view of Skiddaw especially from the top of the site though it can be seen from the Dobbie cabins as well. The staff are friendly and arrival was easy.
The site is about 12 miles north of Keswick but your closer to Cockermouth that has better supermarkets, though it is still recovering from the bad floods so local businesses have suffered. Basically its is a cracking site for those who want to get away but like comforts of home that's well located.
