 A classic CL, tranquil location, lots to do in the area. We came here for our first ever non-boat trip to the Broads. The site is right on Thurne Dyke so good riverside walks. The pub opposite has just re-opened.
Definitely a place to visit again.

Lovely views from pitch of windmills and sail boats. 1 minute walk to feed the ducks (we are not fishermen!) Toilets / showers available as previous reviewer said. Several walks can be done from the site. The pub across the road has a small shop for basics and you can place newspaper orders there as well. We did have a meal here but was not impressed, poor quality and not cheap.

Caravan Club members only! ADULTS ONLY!
Small, compact, little, (enough descriptions for you) site BUT a peaceful site, totally surrounded by trees and Farm buildings and stables.
Water and grey waste disposal are by the farmhouse door. There is no toilet on site but there is a public one across the road which is open 24 hours for the boat users and is kept very clean. There is a pub (surprise ! ) next to that which has showers and toilets for the boating fraternity to use which can be used by ‘vanners also.
Now for the fishing !!!!!!
The dyke at Thurne can only be fished by people staying at the CL ( or on a boat) otherwise there is a 400 yard walk to the main river, in the day time the dyke fishes very well with fish up to 5 or 6 pounds, including Tench and Carp. After the boats stop the river comes alive. Our best this time was a Bream at 6 ¾lb a Skimmer at 2lb (which thought it was going to fight) with good bags of Roach and Perch whilst we were there (July 2000) a few mile away two anglers caught 600lb (Yes) of Bream in one session.
