Trenant Campsite is a wonderful place, hidden away from the crowds even in August.

It is simple and extremely well kept and the owners Peter and Carol are welcoming and helpful -

Thank you so much to you both!

Clean, very affordable and a perfect quiet place to spend quality time with your love ones surrounding a camp fire.

A sound of a rushing water from a nearby brook will soothe your restless mind.

Clean facilities and very accommodating owner too!

Peter and Carol, a husband and wife team, own and run the site.

On the edge of Bodmin moor off a typical Cornish lane this is a haven of peace and quiet.

This is not for lovers of luxury.

Site setting is ideal for really getting 'away from it all'. There is no mobile phone coverage. Three hundred yards, in either direction, uphill out of the valley, coverage is found.

Passing traffic is very light.

Site is very slightly sloping with fine shelter from wind and storm being at valley bottom with surrounding deciduous trees.

A stream, tributary to the river Fowey flows down the length of the site to the right hand looking South. Picturesque!

Not a large site, I guess just over one acre. Just eight power hook-ups.

The village St. Neot is around a mile West whilst the town Liskeard is roughly three miles South.

Bodmin moor is very close, beginning a short walk North. Keep going for seven miles Jamaica inn beckons. Sibleyback lake, close by, has a perimeter of around four miles. A scenic walk of it's perimeter is easily accomplished in an afternoon. The moor is a beautiful place, again peaceful.

The facilities are basic comprising a toilet /shower block which is adequate but far from luxurious. The shower is included in price of the

Unit charge which is minimal. (a unit is defined as a camper or campers. One person with a tent or van or a family with the same). Power hook up extra but the lowest charge around.

I have a 16 foot caravan. Care is needed negotiating the approach lanes.

Both Peter and Carol welcome us with the offer of a cup of tea on arrival. Very kind, helpful and caring.

Together with my wife and son we enjoyed the first three weeks of June there immensely.

However we are a family in accord with 'get away from it all' as aforestated. Peaceful is precious to us. The 'scores' requested by

Ukcampsite.co.uk reflect our tastes.

I live close to this site. It is in middle of nowhere. Lovely woodland walks nearby. A great place to come back to. Easy to get to the North and South coasts. Lanes a little narrow close to the site. Great place to use as a base if you want somewhere quiet and secluded. Hope this helps anyone looking. If you want to see the real cornwall, this would be a great place to visit.
