Good site, great location. Handy for the beach which was lovely and Rhos colyn beach not far either. Good coastal path walk from site. Bar and cafe friendly and reasonable. Children's play area good and loads of space for ball games. Shower facilities clean, water rather cool though. Tip. The older built showers near the entrance were warmer. Would go again definitely.

We joined our friends who were already there. We requested to be near them but you can't guarantee this on any site but we couldn't have been further away. All the low pitches were waterlogged and we found the only slightly elevated pitch which wasn't sodden! Pitch was very uneven. Because Anglesey is very windy make sure your awning is away from the coast. We couldn't achieve this and had to reverse uphill with awning right into the wind.
This made for very disturbed sleeps with lots of flapping and the van was literally swaying in the wind!
Site mostly cabins and statics with private beach which was v clean and great for families and people with boats. Kids need wetsuit cos water freezing!
Kids (age 5 & 8) had a wonderful time. Play area safe with plenty of variety for them. They loved climbing up the hill and rocks. There is also fixed goals on a small footy pitch.
The bistro has regular entertainment. Food reasonably priced but just expect pub grub rather than anything more.
I agree the road on way in was a one-track country lane which is very nerve racking with a caravan! This can't be helped but worth noting.
A very nice and secure site but I understand they may be moving to seasonal pitches only which is a shame, but that's guaranteed income for the owners I guess.

We stopped here in our touring caravan after watching my brother (team tankie'55') racing at anglesey circuit which isnt that far from the park, getting to the park is not good the road going in is a bad bend & (very) narrow, only wide enough for 1 car & caravan. They could do with looking at that, don't know what you would do on meeting another car & caravan coming the other way (its bad). The toilet & shower block is clean with good showers nice and hot a walk away. The site is big, plenty of room for kids to play. The staff & people were very friendly. Good pub & food. The shop isn't open long, only a few hours a day The price for stopping there is good too. Lovely beaches. The pitch wasn't up to much, on a slope and very wet with been all grass It is a nice place & would like to go back sometime

All the other reviews are correct - 10/10
Clean toilets/showers, excellent play area, great views, very reasonably priced. We will go back.
On the drive in there is a very sharp left hand turn, to avoid this go via Rhoscolyn and enter from the right.

We took our caravan to Silver Bay in May and decided to keep it there for the rest of the season. The views are beautiful and the campsite is really clean and tidy and very well run. The playground area is superb for the children. The food in the restaurant is reasonably priced and nice. The staff are really friendly. The shower blocks are immaculate and the caravan pitches are well spaced out. I would highly recommend this caravan sight! The beach is beautiful and the water is clear blue (Great for taking your boat out!). The club is great and sometimes have karaoke on and various other things. There is a fully stocked shop and a laundrette. You will not be disappointed should you go to this sight

Clean and well maintained toilet / shower block with copious amounts of hot water. Good children’s play area. Excellent restaurant and cafe. Free aerobatic displays from RAF Valley. Good facilities for fishing / boating. No complaints what so ever. Highly recommended.

Easter 2004 Great site, we couldn't fault it. Everything was just A1, so much so we are returning again later on in the year. Staff very helpful.

April 30/May 3 2004 This was my first ever caravaning trip since buying an old, cheap, but very sturdy Musketeer. I was unable to get a hook-up pith due to late booking but we managed perfectly well none the less. I was very pleased and quite impressed with Silver Bay, I found it very clean and well run and all the facilities were within a short walking distance from our pitch. The facilities themselves were nicely kept and there was always hot water when we needed it. The club/pub had a nice 'local' atmosphere and the prices were very reasonable. The site has its own beach set in a small sandy bay and in keeping with the rest of the site was very well kept and clean. The staff and management were all friendly and very helpful, all in all we had a great weekend at this site and we will definitely be making a return visit in the future.

August 2002 A pleasant and open campsite with a lovely camper/resident only beach. You can launch boats from the beach and many of the visitors here come for the boating and fishing. Sometimes its possible to pick up a few fish from a neighbourly camper who's had a good catch, ideal for the BBQ! The pitches are fairly open but you get more shelter if you choose your location carefully. There is a good sized park for children with climbing frame, swings, slide, sand pit etc. There is a licenced bar on site alongside a cafe, a laundry area and general shop. We enjoyed our stay here so much that we returned in 2003 but the new managements policy on dogs doesn't allow them on the main camping field and these are the only pitches with electricity available for tents. I've read the comments on a previous review regarding loud and abusive children and I personally haven't witnessed this on this site over six years of visiting (perhaps I'm just lucky)
