This is mainly a static site. Hurworth is half a mile away with a fully stocked Spar shop and post office. A supermarket is 10 minutes away at Morton Park. There are 3 restaurant pubs in the village itself without having to go the mile and a half to the Tawny Owl pub.
Limited touring site. Neasham is the nearer village but currently there is a major diversion because the bridge is being replaced.
There is a footpath/ cycle path into Hurworth. There is a garage and another pub in the adjacent village of Hurworth Place.
Rockcliffe Hall with its golf course and restaurant is in Hurworth Place. However this is an expensive option.
Across the river in Croft there is another restaurant in the Croft Spa hotel.
All in all a nice place to visit with lovely river walks.

We have been here twice now and we really like this site. We go into Darlington, using our bus passes, to do a bit of shopping and have something to eat. I do a bit of fishing on site.
Showers and toilets are clean and adequate.
Fox and hounds is a great pub, food is really good.
Bill, the manager of the site, is really pleasant and very helpful.
So what more could anyone want. We are hoping to make it our permanent base.

We booked a two night stay at Newbus Grange. When we arrived we discovered that our hook up cable was too short. The owners of the site were really lovely and came to our rescue. They allowed us to borrow a cable. I asked if they would like my cable as a form of 'deposit' they said no it was fine. Beautiful, well kept site. We shall definitely return. I tried to book in august, unfortunately it was full. Book in plenty of time, you wont be disappointed! The shower blocks were well equipped and had nice little touches. Although the nearby village hasn't many shops, it's only a short drive into town.

Visited this site for our first outing with tourer, as close to home. Staff really helpful on booking. On arrival plesant welcome and offers of help as novices. Pitches hardstanding -gravel, fairly spacious. Lots of statics but touring area seperate. Site really tidy, childrens park and play area (for ball games etc) hardly saw our boys! also heated outdoor pool-not open during our visit. Showers/toilets clean but showers could do with updating. Lovely riverside walks and scenery. Neasham village walkable, local pub with childrens play area. Will certainly go back.

What a great find this site is and only 20 minutes from home!
We called middle of last week after deciding to have a few nights away and test our new awning and spoke to the lovely man who runs the site who said he had a pitch free. We arrived at 6.30pm on saturday and although the office had closed he was kind enough to come out and assist us.
The site itself is lovely - very peaceful and a lovely setting next to open countryside. Spotless clean and the pitches are a great size. Really well laid out site with even an outdoor pool. Hurworth is a 5 min car journey - its a big village but not much there in terms of shops so go well stocked. The Tawny Owl pub is less than a 5 min car journey and that seves food all day every day up to 9.30pm.
Showers and Toilets spotless and site owner very pleasant man and helpful.
Likes this site so much we got the last pitch remaining for the bank holiday weekend.
