Visited here before as it is my partners favourite fishing pond in the area. Camped here for 1 night whilst visiting family in a nearby caravan.
We had an electric hook up pitch which was right next to the biggest fishing pond (to my partners delight!)
Very friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us and made us feel very welcome.
A new on site restaurant has opened this year which is very nice inside but a little pricey for our budget trip. Would be nice as a treat if we was staying longer though. There's a cafe on site which sells breakfast cobs and chip cobs as well as crisps, chocolate, hot and cold drinks and, of course, fishing gear and bait.
No showers but owner said this was his next job when he had the money.
Had a three night stay here to do a spot of fishing. Left the wife at home and took the small tent. Arrived at 6 o'clock on friday evening and was met by the owner Helen. Very polite lady who showed me to the pitches and gve me the pass code for the toilet block. The toliets were spotless and the site was very well kept. Showers were 40p per token and were very good. The washing up area was very clean also. My only gripe was the touring site has a large metal gate with a big padlock and key that you have to open (unlock) and close (relock) each time you leave. A suggestion would be a card operated barrier, especially in bad weather!. The fishing is A1 in all of the three lakes. All in all a very clean well kept site. I would return again.
