Please note, this location no longer offers touring or camping pitches. It has a limited number of seasonal pitches plus static caravans only.

If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

The property is located near North Beach, offering access to both rocky and sandy beach areas, and is flanked by coastal paths on its east and west sides, suitable for walking. There is a small amusement park next to the beach containing arcades, outdoor rides, a pub, a snack bar, etc.

The site itself maintains high standards of cleanliness and quietness, appealing to both families and retirees. A strict curfew policy is enforced to ensure a peaceful environment, setting it apart from other campsites where noise can be an issue outside social hours.

The site's wardens are praised for their maintenance of the facilities, including a clean, albeit small, toilet block, and for enforcing the aforementioned curfew. Recreational options for children are unfortunately limited to a small football pitch, but the beach's proximity is a significant draw.

The only real negative is regarding the site owner, who exhibits inconsistent behaviour towards guests, which can vary from welcoming to rude/ignorant. His interactions may affect the overall experience for some visitors, although the site remains popular due to its warden's hard work and amenities.

Looking ahead, there is supposedly a change in management where the owner is concerned. Time will tell whether this change is a positive one or whether it will further degrade the experience of those longstanding caravan owners on site.

We spent 4 nights here whilst visiting family in the area. The wardens are very friendly and the site is very well kept. The facilities are spotless and close to the touring pitches. Only 2 showers in the ladies but never had to queue. The views from the pitches are spectacular and the site is quiet at night. There are shops, restaurants and a swimming pool which are open to the public and only a short walk from the site. We had some heavy rain but the pitches drained well. The site is on a slight slope so chocks will be needed.

We have camped at Clarach for over 40 years in various units but this is, in our opinion, the best site for tourers and Ocean View will be our first choice for future visits.

Very friendly wardens, we stayed overnight on a whistle stop tour of Wales. Beautifully clean facilities. Only used showers, they were immaculately clean.

Each pitch had its own water supply adjacent to the hook up, also a tv point.

Pitch was hard standing and the grass surrounding was manicured.

Would definitely return. Was very peaceful and lovely views.

Pitches are sloping, you will need levellers

The campsite is one of the cleanest we have stayed in.

The wardens are polite, courteous and friendly and will assist you in any way they can.

The toilet block could not be better and the wash up area is always spotless, the grass around the site is very well kept.

We look forward to staying there again in the future and would recommend it to anyone.

We came here to meet up with relatives because this is about half way between our homes, and were very surprised by how lovely this place is.

Even though it was a rainy September weekend we had a great time the 360 degree views are breathtaking and the wardens are very lovely people and only too ready to help.

The toilets are always clean no matter what time of day, there are drinking water and chemical disposal points regularly spaced so you never have far to go.

It is wall lit at night but not intrusive. A bus stops right outside the gate into Aberystwyth and just a few 100 yards out side the gates right on the beach front is a cafe, bar supermarket and many more facilities.

We would definitely come here again, just a word of warning though make sure you travel in good light as there are some very steep hills but not too steep to tow up and the views you see are worth the hairy moments

Just had a week here and one of the best sites we have ever visited, john the warden was very friendly and very very helpful, stayed on pitch no 14 fantastic views, very spacious, site is spotless as is the toilet block/showers.

Bus to aberystwyth stops at the site entrance, other campers some of whom stay there for the season are very very friendly,

Will definitely revisit as soon as possible and cannot recommend this site highly enough.

Nice quiet site, very relaxing, good nights sleep, good walks to aber and borth on the coast path.

Well kept site, although our pitch was not very level. Lots of blocks required to get level. Lots of statics and a large area for tourers.
Most costly site for our trip £20 with EHU off season felt ripped off. Owner told us about facilities at beach front including cafe, pub, bingo, amusements, bowling and swimming pool. Most of this belongs to the next site along the road and it is cheaper to actually stay on that site.
Toilets and showers are small but clean.

Very friendly and welcoming. Useful for visits to University. Hook ups, close water taps but check you get a pitch with a tv lead. Phone reception on most (Vodafone, Orange and T mob) unreliable

Locally swimming heated pool, pub, gym and a walk away from Aber to die for along costal path

Loos and showers are a bit small but the bay is lovely and for the exercise over the hill to Aber (1/2 hour) is better coming back, as its a bit of a treck but they make you think it isn't

Site Warden very friendly and helpful.

Due to location many statics here so have no idea what its like in season.

This is one of the best caravan sites I have visited. Even when full it is peaceful. We have just spent august bank holiday there and even though there are only two showers we never had to wait. Hookups for all. Shops etc a short walk away as is the beach
