We have just spent the bank holiday here. The site itself is peaceful with a great little fishing pond on site. We really enjoyed the stay. The only negative we have is the toilets, they let this park down badly, the are disgusting & not really fit for using. There is no hand wash, hardly any toilet paper and for this reason only we will not be returning. I am sure the owners could afford to renovate these with very little cost, in the short term at least they could keep them clean and fresh smelling for hygiene reasons only.

The camp site is clean but there is nothing for children to do. I would give it marks for the cleanliness. The site location is very good for looking round the Flyde area. It has a washhouse, a shower room and toilets, a small club which is only open on the weekends. The pitches seemed to get a bit water logged. Value for money you don't get much compared to some of the other sites for the same price. They seem to favour the statics more than the tourers. I've been now and I don't think I would go again, most of the tourers are long term and been there years

Stayed on this site in 2006, very good site, good location for the fylde resorts, and The Lakes. Club on site, open weekends and Bank Holidays. Static park behind club, which is very well laid out, touring pitches on the front of the park, slight traffic noise can be heard during early morning but if there for season you soon get used to it.Toilet block requires modernising told was on the cards to be done for the following year.Would go back to explore more of the lakes.

August 2003 Site is split between statics and a tent/van field. Facilities are old and basic for campers and not very clean but apparently they are looking to modernise it as the site has been taken over by one of the family who own the Riverside in Southport.
Has a club that is open certain nights during the week, and the beer is quite cheap and the locals are friendly (the ones who have their statics there).
There is a small pond in the middle of the camping field, but this is fenced off with gates for access and you can fish in it if you like.
Bottom end of the field is right next to the road with a pine hedge separating you from countless HGV's trundling past at all hours of the day and night so can be difficult to get to sleep if you pitch at that end.
