This Is our most visited Site by far using the 'Sun' holiday vouchers. So excellent value. The static caravans we've stayed in so far can be a bit dated and maybe not the cleanest but the staff are first class, very welcoming and friendly from the word go. We were late arriving and so called explaining and they were great about it. Entertainment for all as we were there over the Halloween period, the kids were really spoilt. Good central location for entertainment as other parks it can be a walk to the complex. Good selection off beer. Altogether another great holiday and I'm sure we'll be back. Keep up the good work

Stayed at this site for 1 night in July 2013. The site was excellent had all facilities. The toilet and shower block was kept clean and tidy.
There was a clubhouse with nightly entertainment, food and drink was available.
We pitched in a large field at the back of the campsite, it was just a 5 min walk to the toilet block. Overall the campsite was great.
Across the main road from the campsite is a hungry house pub The Catherine's Inn which has a good selection of food if you do not fancy cooking.
There is a swimming pool on the site, we did not get chance to use this facility.
Would recommend this site, family friendly.

Very friendly welcome but the site facilities are in need of updating. Swimming pool closed while we were there but looked in very poor condition. Toilets and showers clean but paintwork peeling and work surfaces falling apart. Stagnat stream runs around the site which was a concern having an intuative 2 1/2 year old with us! Play area disappointing and quite dangerous
All the staff were helpful and friendly and the kids entertainment team tried hard. Didn't try the food on site but the Catherine Inn Pub opposite (Hungry Horse) is recently refurbished and excellent for Food with great indoor and outdoor play areas for the kids.
For the price would have expected a lot better. Get far better facilities and a lot better value for money at the sites in Brean.

August 2005 Just returned from a week at Purn. All in all we had a really good week (bit wet) but the kids loved it. The pools were lovely when the sun was out, but not heated as advertised. The entertainment was good and the staff were excellent with the kids, they worked really hard at getting to know them - well done to Sharon and Tony! The bingo was great fun - we even won! Never had to queue for the showers and the toilets were well maintained. The food at Crackers (take-away on site) was excellent too. The down side to the week was the manager who turned up half way through the week and told us we needed to move our van and awning because we weren't in the correct place, although one of his staff told us were to pitch up. We had to drag the kids out the pool and uproot all our belongings, lucky we had made some good friends and they helped us. When my husband went to complain about having to move the manager told him 'if we didn't like then we can leave', charming. After a bit of verbal tennis he eventually apologised and gave us a free meal for our inconvience. So apart from him the holiday was a great, although pitches are a little tight but thank goodness for the wonderful staff.

October 2004 The weekend we stayed it poured down with rain, the site was very boggy and on the sunday we needed to be towed off the field by tractor which my kids thought was great. The site has a small club house for bingo/entertainment. There`s a pub and Indian right next door to the site entrance we had a meal in the pub on the friday night wasn't very impressed, but I can definetly recommend the Indian (the curry cottage) one of the best we`ve had. The site has easy access from the M5, would stay here again but not in october.

August 2003 We were at Purn for August Bank Holiday Monday, were a Mexican theme day was in full swing. We were pitched right in front of the swimming pool and children's play area. Saying this there was no problem with these activities. The other side of the play area was the club. What a good time we had in there. Bingo most nights, just 3 games enough for fun, but short enough for non bingo players to enjoy themselves as well. The entertainment was out of this world. On bank holiday Monday we were serendaed by Dr. Octopus, Tuesday was a quiet day. Wednesday was for the kids. Thursday was the best entertainment of the week. Billy West "Freddie Mercury" trobute singer. Friday was another vocalist. I must say Michaela the entertainments organiser worked really hard. There was kid's club every day 12 noon till 1pm with Michaela teaching the kids new dances rady for the eventing entertainment, then every evening there was Party Time for the kids, were they had their own bit of disco and fun dancing with Michaela handing out aprizes for the best dancers. Everyone had a prize by the end of the week. If your ever down Weston-Super-Mare book in at Purn it's agood clean site with something for everyone.
