Just got back from a long weekend here, £19 a night with electric.
Hutleys is maining a static site with only 19 touring pitches, the site itself it quite pleasant, nice clubhouse, amusements, various shops, small playground, small indoor swimming pool (strangley though you had to pay for the pool) and right by the shingle beach. There is boot sale on Saturdays and a Sunday Market too, both just 300 yards from you pitch too.
However the touring facilities are quite dated now, you do have electric on the pitch but only 2 water taps serving all the pitches with 1 of these being out of action while we were there. The chemical waste disposal was right next to these taps and in the open with no privacy at all, the drain surrounds needed attention as when you emptied your grey waste, it flowed out of the surround, not pleasant at all. The biggest problem though is there are no kitchen sinks to wash up in, I asked at reception I was told that they only really cater for the statics not tourers. I came out and some locals who over heard this told me that there are big belfast sinks in the laundry room at a block further away. We found them and would drive up there to wash up, this laundry area was clean and tidy.
The closest shower block was pretty poor, only 1 graffiti'd toilet in the gents (2 in the ladies) which was covered in mess and always blocked (no brush to clean it with either), my wife said the ladies was no better, neither had hand soap in too. We had only one shower that I could not bring myself to use, it looked like it had not been cleaned for weeks, there are 2 sinks but no mirrors over them to have a shave in, you had to turn and use the one by the electric point, fun when there is 2 of you in there at the same time. The toilets and showers were cleaner at the further away block but a lick of paint would not go a miss here too.
This could be a very good site but you can see many statics have gone now and there is loads of empty plots. If the owners do read this review then my advice would be to try and improve the touring facilities, tourers are on making a comeback, due to the increasing costs of owning a static. It would not cost them too much to supply water to each pitch (maybe even waste hook ups too), install privacy fencing around the chemical waste disposal points, more importantly add 2 or 3 sheltered washing up sinks close to the touring pitches and finally give the toilets / showers a nice refurb and bring them upto back up to date.
Overall this touring site needs a little TLC but if done could easily become a real gem. I liked the park facilities but probably will not go back until such time as improvements are made to the touring facilities.

Stayed here bank holiday weekend with my partner and 2 grown up kids (aged 22 & 17) and had a great time.
A nice site I did not see any dog poo on site or on the beach, some of the showers were not hot though, very close to beach and amusements, nice shop, cafe and takeaway on site and good entertainment in the sailor boy pub every night.
Nice swimming pool, all in all a good site we will be going back. Very cheap £18 a night and no extra charges for awnings or dogs.
Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of water taps, rubbish bins and chemical disposal points, tourers are very close to beach

The first two reviews are accurate. This was the only reasonably priced site we could get onto during bank holiday weekend. It is mainly for static caravans. These seem to be mainly owned by Essex families. The 'beach' is a stones throw but only really good for launching a boat or crabbing. It is better to walk to Clacton about an hour, 15 mins by push bike) along the sea front or drive around. It was good value for money at £16.50 per night for a small camper with no hook up compared to £30 plus wanted by a lot of sites nearby. It is a little tired looking, but a good base from which to tour the area. There is a shop on site, an off licence, two cafes and pubs. The tattooist and sun tan parlour reflect the chavvy aspect of the site. I would revisit again. If you do visit check out Jawick! The beaches at Frinton and Walton are well worth the drive.

We stayed at this site for 3 nights in August. In all fairness to the site owners it was value for money at a fixed rate of £15-00 per night including electric. It is mainly a static site and has only 20 touring pitches ( mostly of which seemed to be seasonal ) The tourers are sited near to the sea wall which is quite nice. There is a fully refundable £10 deposit on the key for the toilet / shower room but that didn,t prevent the gents from being trashed during the time we were there.There.s a lot for children within walking distance and Clacton is only a short ride away. Value for money but not my cup of tea! We only used the site whilst visiting family in the area.

A really mixed experience - whilst touring caravans & motor homes are able to park right next to the 'beach', it should have been idyllic - except I have never seen so much doggy-do and rubbish per square foot. (I would not advise a moonlit walk). There were a variety of holiday makers from permanent static owners to tourers, and it did get noisy at night. Luckily we are early birds so took advantage of the peace and quiet of the morning. The beach itself needs a bit of attention, with areas of hidden rocks and an area of debris and submerged metal. The leaflet advertising the site might benefit from some updating as many of the retail units were redundant, and the general feel of the attractions on site was 'tired'. The facilities on site were clean, and the indoor pool new and modern, although very shallow (1.2m depth). A bit of a surreal experience with amusement arcades abounding & colourful characters!
